Location is amazing. They state park is perfect. But product is far from cost worthy. There are new digs where the check in lobby is and a little cafe. Front desk staff stuffy and uptight even though they are registering campers too. They need to lighten up and dress like a park instead of a city hotel. The 3 bedroom... More

We had 6 family units staying in two side-by-side 4-bedroom Officer's Row quarters. We could easily go between the units, eating group meals was very manageable, the beach was within walking distance, the large parade grounds for play was right out the front door. Our 3-night stay there was even better than anticipated. The deer meandering by was a nice... More

We visited Pt Townsend the weekend after Thanksgiving to give a couple guests from Maui a taste of that part of the Northwest. Stayed in Ft. Worden's "NCO Row" in a 2 bedroom/2 bath duplex. The location and trails and overall feel of being at Ft Worden are terrific. We have stayed in PT quite a bit and were lucky... More

We have been going to Fort Worden every Thanksgiving for almost 20 years. It used to be very inexpensive. As the years of gone by, The costs have increased yet the facilities have not been kept up. we stay primarily in the officers quarters, which accommodates our families well but there should be a dishwasher, the carpets need to be... I have been staying in one of the duplexes for several years now with some friends when we attend the Ft. Worden Knitters' Retreat. We make our own meals and always find there to be enough plates, cups and silverware for everyone. We do bring some our own things depending on what we are making. The rooms are comfortable and... Inside of Fort Worden, there are many houses, in many sizes that used to be part of the fort and are now rented out to he public. Some accommodate very large parties. Othere 2-4 people. I have stayed ther 3-4 times. My favorite one was the Castle. All are walking distance to a nice, sandy beach. Some units have been... More

This place is the best for a family trip. We have been to this place more than once and it seems to keep us entertained no matter what you are doing. We have stayed here on the upper and lower campgrounds. We stayed Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends here last year 2014. This place is great. A little steep... More

This park is one of my favorite camping destinations in the northwest. I've not tried the housing options but have always camped with a small RV finding the RV parking areas large and bathrooms fairly clean and conveniently located. There are miles of bike paths and huge areas of historic Ft. Worden to explore so no time to be bored... More

I reserved the USO Hall for our wedding reception, and a space for our outdoor ceremony. The sales director, Maureen, was a nightmare to deal with. We looked into reserving a space at Fort Worden for our wedding a few months ago, and Maureen informed us that we HAD TO use Fort Wordens catering service and were not allowed to... More

When thirty of our "closest" family members wanted to meet in Port Townsend, we reserved one of the houses on Officer's Row to be the meeting place. It is definitely NOT a cushy hotel, and it is NOT cheap. But as a temporary home that easily housed ten of us (and could have slept more) and offered a large fuly... More
