normally when i stay at a hotel i go for posh. i spare no expense, and want the best. i've paid upwards of 300 dollars for a night. but this time we were getting in late and leaving early, so it didn't matter. this one was fairly priced, and right in the middle of everything. so we took it,and made... Do not stay in the Vienna Suites. The hallway had a musky bad smell that never went away. Our room was dirty; shower curtain full of mold, dust on everything including the tv remote, it’s furnishings were cheap college room type. There cleaning each day consists of exchanging the towels – nothing else! Bird poop covers the windows – some... More

My wife and I stayed at the Belmont on the fourth day of our honeymoon, having discovered it right here on the TripAdvisor pages. We figured the folks who gave it bad reviews just weren't the kind of folks who should have stayed here in the first place, but we probably were. We were right. The Belmont has character out... Yes, there is still bird poo on the outside windows, the bathrooms smell of mold and the place could use a huge cleaning. I would not advise using the ceiling fan. There has to be two inches of dust piled on the blades. You can also add more inches of dust all over the cornices and doors. I'm no Joan... More

We have stayed several times in both of the waterfront rooms and have always LOVE staying there. The rooms are very spacious and are in a real Victorian building dated from the late 1880's. The hotel / restaurant is right on the water, and rooms 3 and 4 have great views of the water, including Marrowstone and Indian Island and... More

The buckets in the hallway were still there and just as unsightly as ever. The room could have been cleaner, particularly the window which was covered with bird droppings. The ceiling in the loft needs repairs due to the leak. Some noisy guests who arrived late and couldn't locate the manager disturbed our sleep. For what we paid ($120), it... More

July 3, 2005 Still has buckets in the hallway to catch drips. With only 4 rooms in the place, you would think they could take better care. The windows sorely needed cleaning (nice view of bird poop), the shower had quite a bit of black mold on the grout. If you like a nice quiet room, this is not it.... More

I grew up in PT so returning as a tourist with my son is a real treat. We really enjoy walking downtown, so the Belmont's location is superb. (The beach right around back is fun too). This is a geniune, old-fashioned, hike-up-steep-narrow stairs kind of place. I always feel like I'm in an old western. Pack light or make several... More

When we went upstairs to our room I was worried at what we would be in for since there were a bunch of buckets in the hallway to catch water should it rain. When we got to our room though, we were very happy with the room and the view was beautiful and our stay was wonderful also the food... More
