These cabins are really run-down and in need of updating. We stayed in Cabins #1 and #2. Of the two, Cabin #2 was more acceptable. Beds are uncomfortable. Furniture is from the fifties. Some cabins don't even have screens so you can't open the windows on a warm evening because of the bugs. When we arrived, the refrigerator wasn't plugged... More

Based on Mapquest/Google Maps, I thought this was in Port Townsend. It's actually in Discovery Bay (but no post office there), about 13 miles away. Due to bad map information, I spent two hours trying to find it. Calling yielded a recorded message but no live person to help me. I finally stayed elsewhere. Found it the next day; the... More

Staff was friendly, room (no phone/ shower stall small) & pool area was clean and well maintained. Continental breakfast was good. Close to small shops, whale watching tours and Port. Nice, would return.

Interesting place, the owner is very friendly and helpful and its a good value for the money (Paid $75 at hotel.com)- Each unit is a cabin, and has a full kitchen in it, and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. The cons of this place, is #1-No WiFi, so no internet unless your using your mobile device( or Tablet) has... More

To start with, I made reservation for cabin 5 weeks earlier and when I called to see the check in time, he told me my cabin was not available anymore, they gave it to someone else. So he gave me cabin 4. They all are very old and cheaply made, in great need of remodeling. They look a little better... More

When we arrived at the cabin, the owner was conducting some cabin maintenance and asked us to come back in a hour. It was a gorgeous day, so we drove for 15 minutes and explored lovely Port Townsend, and had a truly delicious dinner. When we came back, the cabin was ready. At check in, the owner apologized for the... More

Wow, what a find this place is. First let me say that if I had not read the reviews on here and I was just driving by this place, I would not have stopped. The outside of these cabins do show some wear but DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER! It is a saltly moist place and I'm... More

We had to head up to the Olympic Peninsula for a family event in Port Ludlow, and didn't feel like shelling out $250/night for a hotel room we'd barely be spending much time in. We decided to give the Valley View a try and swallow the 20 minute drive, and we weren't disappointed! First off, this is an unique lodging... More

I stayed here one night in the shoulder season. Place was quiet, clean, organized and good value. Not all cabins were in the same shape, so a look at the one you rent is recommended. The views are beautiful especially at sunset. Goats, a cat, and chickens run around on the property, which is cool, especially the fresh eggs bounty!... More

Individuals or couples have different priorities. Do you want a weekend's change of pace with convenient access to amenities, theaters, restaurants? Or do you want to get further off the beaten track and away from the hustle & bustle so you can turn off your cell phone and read (or write) without interruption? The Valley View may be described as... More
