We stayed for 2 nights at the English Inn and had a great time. The rooms were laid out very well and were extremely comfortable. However, breakfast was stingy- 1 muffin, some granola and juice. Granted, the website made it clear that breakfast was toned down in the off-season, but I was still disappointed. Also, the owner is mostly off-site... more

We had a wonderful time at the English Inn. We stayed for 2 nights during our tour of the Olympic Peninsula. From the moment we entered the front door we felt nothing but warmth and welcome. The hosts were gracious and warm and the food was delicious. Our room was quaint and comfortable. I really enjoyed long soaks in the... more

The English Inn is a great b and b. We stayed for the midweek special which was a great price, breakfast is continental but fruit, yogurt and cereal was perfect. The room was great, comfy bed, spacious, quiet. Service was great, friendly and helpful, with restaurant picks and good pubs to go. Easy walk to town, free parking, a great... more

We stayed in two different rooms during our four night stay and found both charming. As a self-proclaimed "Princess and the Pea" I found no problem with the mattress in the Windsor Room (we also stayed in the Victoria room ). Hostess was friendly and acommodating (prepared a breakfast to go for us on our last day) and served delicious... more

We arrived expecting an elegant English Inn. The hallmark of any good B&B is its attention to detail. Regrettably, this B&B cut too many corners! We expected a lovely English garden with gazebo. What we got was a weedy garden and a gazebo so dirty that no one would sit there. Our room was nice and large but the furnishing... more

My husband and I love Port Townsend and we wanted to stay at a B & B instead of in a hotel. We found the English Inn on their website after hearing wonderful things about it from a friend. We were not disappointed in fact I can not say enough about the hospitality from the British man (yes the English... more

We stayed two nights in the Windsor Room. We both can honestly say that the mattress on the bed was the worse we've ever slept on. I think the mattress may be as old as the house. It was so bad that the second night we took the mattress off the boxspring and placed it on the floor hoping that... more

I spent a night at the English Inn in Port Townsend recently, and couldn't have been more pleased. The inn is in a lovely old Victorian house in a quiet residential neighborhood, but within easy walking distance of the heart of the downtown. Jennifer was a warm and welcoming hostess, cooked a delicious breakfast, and generally made me feel completely... more

We spent three nights at the English Inn as part of our honeymoon, during the Jazz Festival weekend. The owners are young and friendly, and their hospitality make the English Inn stand apart. The rooms are all unique and tastefully furnished around a theme. Our room was the Stuart room, and was very comfortable. The only downside was that we... more

We love this place and go back whenever we can. Mainly because the hosts are absolutly the best we have met anywhere we have traveled. It's fun, comfortable and the cookies are the best. It's close enough to downtown to walk but you get a great look at the uptown where all the people in Port Townsend live and go. more
