The Old Consulate Inn is truly right out of the history books. It was built as a private family mansion on the quiet hill overlooking Port Townsend, and was at one time occupied by the German consulate for a year or so. It is stately, ornate, and filled with antiques. The architecture, the woodwork, the lighting, and the décor are... More

Really enjoyed staying here and especial enjoyed all the small touches. The house is old Victorian and Cindy and her staff dressed in the same manner. There was so much to look at throughout the house. Amazing history. Cindy was vey friendly and most helpful. Our friend has allergies and Cindy went out of her way to make sure she... More

My husband and I stayed at the Old Consulate for our honeymoon and loved the whole experience. We appreciated all the lovely Victorian touches and breakfast was a delicious affair. We also enjoyed being up high on the hill and spent a long time swinging on the porch swing. Very romantic space. Cindy was a gracious and accommodating host. We... More

This house is ornate and extrodinary. A step back in time. Cindy and Nathan even dress the part. We could have stayed and wandered around the house and yard all day and never left if we hadn't come for the Wooden Boat Festival. The hospitality was exceptional. Every detail and alot of love was put into the 3 course breakfast,... More

Overlooking the sound this stylish and perfectly kept late 19th house welcomes you with a cosy atmosphere and the cordial and professional attitude of its innkeepers. Feel at home with good music and fine cookies in the evening looking forward to a good sleep in the excellent beds and above all a wonderful freshly prepared and fondly served breakfast in... More

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION It's because of the location that I am giving this B & B a poor review. Yes, some rooms do overlook the beautiful view of the water and ferry terminal and if you wish to sit up all night long and stare out at the seascape then it's not so bad. However, if you are any type... More

Cindy and I are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. The clock has stood beside the house for 125 years and while we have dreamed and schemed of ways to dampen its bell, we haven't found a way yet to do so that works for the county. For that reason we mention it on the website and in correspondence. That... More

Quiet, comfortable, and filled with Victorian antiques. Everywhere you look there is something interesting to look at. Breakfast was excellent and we met very nice people eating around the large dining table. There is a view of the water. Best of all the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of hot water! Cindy has paid great attention to detail... More

Okay, so it took me awhile to get this up. February of this year (right around Valentine's day), I came up to the Old Consulate Inn with my husband, my brother in law and my sister in law. We could only stay two days but those were the best two days I could have asked for. First of all, the... More

I may not be as seasoned a B&B customer as some, but this was definitely a most enjoyable stay. Wish it had been for more than one night. Cindy & Nathan were gracious and most accommodating, don't forget to try out the porch swing

My only regret is that we didn't plan our trip to stay longer. This B & B is in a Victorian house that is full of antiques and details that made us feel like we had stepped back in time. Beautiful view, fabulous breakfasts, comfortable rooms, gracious hosts.
