well. it's got a view. a great view, but........ if you're expecting charm and elegance for the rate you're being charged. not so much. old and run down. definetly needs some help, and the jetted tub on the deck is just that an old jetted bath tub. we would not stay again for the price we paid, which was 159.00... Place has awesome view of the water , one thing though , water pressure was not sufficient at evening shower time an worst in the morning. Staff is, first class an welcomes you in up most respect. Skeeter a very cool gentleman. They did however deduct from my charge 40 bucks to compensate for the inconvenience of water pressure. Overall... More

We missed a ferry to Coupeville and had to spend a night in Port Townsend. I read reviews on various affordable hotels and this one seemed promising. We got a double room with a small balcony on the water. The furniture was a bit tacky, but it was very clean and comfortable. The morning sunrise over the water was beautiful.... More

I booked a "standard queen room" for 3 adults. When we arrived I was told that there was only one Queen bed! I called there attention to the fact that my reservation called for 3 adults and asked why that had never been brought to my attention and was told that it was a glitch in their system. They brought... More

Though technically a motel, the Tides Inn is really more like a very comfy (but BIG) B&B. It is family run and the owners and staff are most cordial and helpful, really nice people. The rooms we had were in the new section and were spacious, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The fact that the decor is not my style... More

Our experiences, both negative and positive, tally with those of others who have stayed here. The water views are beautiful, the continental breakfast good (cold cereal, h-b eggs, yogurt, bagels, pastries), and the staff was exceptionally pleasant to deal with. On the downside, our south-facing room really heated up during the day and the fan the motel lent us didn't... More

Tides Inn has 2 different buildings. The newer one is quite nice with more modern amenities. The older one where we stayed is more rustic and a bit worn but costs less. Our room was very nice looking directly onto the water with a nice private patio. The walk into town is about 4 blocks which made it convenient. The... More

We took the $200 room because it had a/c (many rooms don't and it is needed). However, it didn't work, and it took forever to get it fixed, so they gave us a different room. But the a/c filter was completely blocked, and it had to be fixed also. Then the key and the lock didn't work. Also bugs in... More

We just checked out of the Tides Inn after a 3 night stay. We could not have been happier with the hotel. Of prime importance to us was the view. Next in importance was the hot tub. We stayed in room 10 where we had two queen size beds in separate rooms and a hot tub out on the deck... More

Cannot get any closer to the water in the bay here or most anywhere. My wife and I had a room in the remodeled building where the front desk is located (highly recommended) and stayed two weeks. Tides Inn is so fitting as one can see tide come in and out and see the surface of the water constantly change... More
