As long as you can walk up 1-2 flights of stairs, this is the place to stay in our opinion. My wife and I and two kids ages 7 and 10 spent to nights here during the weekend of the Kenetic Race--crazily dressed people pilot amphibious "sculptures' across a racecourse." We love the hotel's location in the center of town,... More

Just spent a beautiful weekend at the Palace Hotel. It is easy to see why this is the favorite hotel in Port Townsend. This wonderful old building has been restored with great attention to detail and history. The staff were friendly and completely unobtrusive throughout our stay. They provided us with information and advice when asked but did not intrude.... More

I don't know if there is a better place in PT for the price, but if there is I would be very suprised. This place is very well kept and has a charming decor. Our room (Cptn Tiball's) was very nice. The Palace's Water Street location is great for meandering through the shops, walking to have a beer at Sirens... More

We stayed in Miss Rose's room. HUGE jacuzzi tub, quiet, big bed, wonderful friendly staff. I would definitely go back to stay there. I don't say that about many places I stay. the only thing I wonder about is the breakfast by the door that everyone is mentioning. We got nothing of the sort. Breakfast? Really? That would have been... More

The Palace is a great place to stay. The rooms are victorian motif and beautiful. Very clean, very nice. The location is right in the middle of downtown. A small breakfast is left on a stool in the morning which is great if you like to sleep in and eat breakfast at your leasure. The breakfast was small but fantastic,... More

I stayed here for two nights with my parents on May 27 and 28 of this year. We loved Capt. Tibbals room. It offered two double beds and our own bathroom and a little kitchen area that contained a microwave and a coffee maker. The people at the front desk were very friendly. The only little glitch came when we... More

We stayed for two nights at the Palace Hotel. The staff was friendly, the rooms were comfortable and clean and the continental breakfast was a nice touch in the mornings. The rooms were done in a victorian decor with some of the bathrooms containing the vintage bathtubs. Discounts were offered if you were a AAAmember. Great place to stay. Will... More

Went to the Palace Hotel to check it out as a possible site for our management retreat. My husband and I spent two nights there in a corner suite. The antiques were lovely, huge windows overlooked the main street and the lovely town. The hotel staff was very friendly. Discovered that the Palace Hotel is, indeed, haunted. Enough said.

We stayed in a corner room on the third floor. It had a lovely view and the bathroom was really spacious. This is a hotel we look forward to returning to this spring and fall. They have their own parking lot in the back of the building and the people that operate the hotel are very courteous. It was a... More

The Palace Hotel is a nice change from the typical "cookie-cutter" accommodations found in its price range, and for that reason I think that most people who are looking for something out of the ordinary will enjoy a night or two spent there. However, light sleepers should be advised that the rooms facing Water Street can be quite noisy late... More
