I've stayed at The Palace Hotel twice and both times have been enamored with the property and well cared for by the hotel operators. It's hard to identify what I like most about this place! First, I will give it the "Location, Location, Location" props because it is ideal! You can walk to everything. The hotel is nicely furnished with... More

this seemed appropriate for my 75t birthday. I was a bit handicapped due to a boot on my broken foot, but managed the 30 steps up to our room. It was roomy, the extra little area between room and bathroom , with small refrigerator, microwave was handy and less cramped than in some 'modern' hotels. It all seemed very well... More

We stayed in a one bedroom suite. It had a queen and a twin bed in the bedroom. My daughter loved the old fashioned bed and now wants one like it. The room was quiet and we had a view of the side street. It was clean and had a large bathroom and kitchen. My husband was impressed with the... More

Having traveled all over the world we were shocked to find the ambiance, charm and amazing atmosphere that The Palace Hotel offers. From the friendliness of the front desk to the housekeeping to the historic masterpiece this hotel is, everything was perfect. The rooms were loving facing magnificent sunrises and sunsets. The hotel has been lovingly restored to reflect an... More

Traveling solo in November last year. Was delighted with Port Townsend and the Palace Hotel. The ambiance was charming, the service was friendly and the rates were very reasonable. The view of the water from my room was outstanding. I woke up to the most beautiful sunrise - truely breathtaking. Parking can be a problem in Port Townsend. However, the... More

My wife and I spent a night at this historic place in November 2013 and had a wonderful corner room on the top floor. The staff was very informative on where to dine and the town of Port Townsend is a delight to walk around. We hope to return to the Palace again soon.

This is a great old hotel, big rooms with high ceilings, all the amenities you need and not at a very high price, great value. Location can't be beat, right in the heart of Port Townsend. Lots of little nooks and crannys that you can sit down, read a book, have a drink and look for ghosts. Free parking in... More

This is a wonderful old hotel, located in the heart of downtown Port Townsend, decorated with antiques, and chock-full of character. My husband and I stayed here for three nights and couldn't have been happier. The reasonable room rates, ample parking in back, friendliness of the proprietor, and comfortable bed combined to make our experience quite blissful. It was early... More

This was our second time staying at the quaint Palace Hotel, this time with my parents along. Being an old Victorian era brick building, the ceilings are super duper high, so climbing the stairs to the 2nd floor feels more like walking up the the third floor of a regular building. The third floor is quite the climb, fortunately, each... More

Loads of Charm....fabulous historical character, friendly staff.....and a room called Abigail? What more could you ask for. The Palace Hotel is a real find and easy to find. Centrally located in the heart of the Port. Just ask any drunken sailor, whaler, or poltergeist where is the Palace Hotel. Restored but not overdone, spooky? No....but there's plenty of ghostly yarns... More
