My wife and I have travelled to the lovely Victorian old town district of Port Townsend, WA on several occasions, sometimes for day trips, and once before for an overnight stay, and it's one of our favorite spots for a romantic get away. Whether we're there to enjoy the scenery, the shopping, the architecture or the art, we always have... more

The Palace is quaint, historic & in a great location. It probably isn't the best place for small children or anyone who has mobility issues (lots of stairs), but it is great for a visit to Port Townsend. more

If you haven't stayed in a former brothel complete with the squeeky bed, try this place. Old building but nicely renovated -- if you want your own bathroom/toilet, make sure to ask as some of the rooms share one. more

This was one of the best hotel stays I have had in a while. The rooms were charming and clean. We stayed in Miss Claire's room (#4). The 14-foot ceilings, super comfy bed, and jetted stand-up shower made the room a great choice. The decor was so fun and we were within walking distance of everything downtown. I wish it... more

My husband book the hotel. We walked in and I was a bit disappointed. It was the hot out; the doors were opened and tons of flies in the front area. They have NO air conditioning and since they were grandfathered into law; there is no ADA compliance. I have a 4 year old and 1 year old and there... more

My wife and I stayed at the Palace for 5 nights in July, 08 and we loved it. It was fun. The location is right in the middle of the downtown within easy walking distance of all the great little shops and the waterfront. We both would stay there again and would recommend it to our friends. We paid $119... more

A beautifully restored Victorian buildling with period rooms and beautiful old furniture. We got to look around at the open rooms and pick our choice; we had Marie's room on the corner with lots of windows and a great big, dramatic bed. Some rooms we saw had little kitchen areas, ours included. I think we would have paid money just... more

I just love Port Townsend! The Palace Hotel is a beautiful old building on the main street. We booked a room on the 3rd floor facing the front (with a view of the water). The inside of the hotel is a walk up. It is full of charm and history. One of those cool places that leave the doors to... more

My friend and I traveled to Port Townsend for a girl's getaway weekend and stayed at the Palace Hotel. I had done some research on places to stay in Port Townsend before we left and had read some reviews of the Palace Hotel that were not very good. When we arrived into town, we decided to take a look and... more

This hotel is a classic Victorian in its original state. The decor is appropriate and gorgeous. Every room is gorgeous, even the smaller ones with less ammenities. There's even an old-style billiard-type room with tables to play chess, checkers, cards and a dining table that could comfortably accomodate eight. The rooms vary greatly in size, desirable location, and ammenities. If... more
