My wife and I stayed in the hotel for two nights in August, 2015. We stayed in Miss Sara's Room (the hotel was once a brothel and rooms are thus designated). This room overlooked the parking lot and was quiet even with the window open all night. Fortunately, the room was pleasant when we arrived on a warm day because... More

The Palace Hotel is a quaint, charming place to stay. Built in the 1800's, it has a lot of character. The ceilings are very high with four poster beds. It had modern amenities but old world charm. It is located in the middle of downtown across from the water and all the shops and attractions. Staff was friendly. It does... More

Nice room, quaint, love the Victorian look and furnishings, but we won't be back - 1) it's on the busiest intersection in town 2) our room was sweltering hot, have to open a window. To street noise. 3) check out time should be noon, like most motels these days. for the price we should have a little time in the... More

We stayed in two different rooms in this hotel. Both rooms had their own charm: the first was on the 3rd floor overlooking the water and the second on the 1st floor at the side. The decoration of both rooms was very nice with a lot of Victorian details. This hotel has no airconditioning so the windows need to be... More

The Palace hotel, with its red and white awning is located in the middle of the waterfront district. It's a 3 story building, that is clean, historic and comfortable. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel in any of PT, you won't find one, but in my estimation, the Palace is the best place to stay for the value... More

It was fun to stay in a place with the feel of a 19th century seaport. Our room (Miss Claire, 2nd floor) was beautifully decorated for the period. Although you give up a few amenities (such as a large bathroom countertop, air conditioning, and elevator), the charm and whimsy of the place make up for it. The room was clean,... More

While the hotel and rooms are quaint , and I don't disagree with some of the other reviews, what's been neglected to be said is that you have to walk up nearly 60 steps to get to the third floor. And it's a steep incline. Our faced the water and had great views, but was very warm, even with a... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Its location is very good on the main road of downtown, close to the beaches as well as restaurants and other shopping places. The property reminds us of a royal villa now converted to a hotel with all modern amenities but with a touch of old times in terms of furniture & fittings,... More

We stayed on the top floor facing the water, which was nice for the view, but kind of hot in the summer. Also, the windows should be cleaned -- kind of gross to see bird poo obscuring your lovely vista. Mona's room had a big bed and bathroom, clean but could use some updating. I think some of the rooms... More

Very clean and well operated hotel right in town. All the rooms are large and well kept. They accept government rates. Bars and dinning a minute or less away. Nice sitting rooms with games. You will not be disappointed.
