At the Washington Hotel Manager MariLou preps the beds and rooms with love and attention to detail. And by attention to detail I do mean that she irons the sheets and pillowcases. The cozy factor was such that on day three of our stay that I realized I hadn’t used my eye sleep mask once. High thread count sheets for the PM and delicious dark roast coffee with cups to go for those who have to scoot in the AM. Plus the common room of the Washington has extras like movies, microwave and an ironing board.
Our room was located above Washington St. with a view down through trees to Ave. and the Tapas bar.

Checking in was a breeze, a key pad with a code on the street level door and another for the room, sort of a relief and ultra modern to have no human interaction at all, just like borrowing a friends apartment for the weekend. more
