We stayed at this hotel by chance last week. We were driving in the evening and were looking for a place to stay, as there is not much to choose from in the area. We found the hotel to be extremely charming. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The couple running the front desk were the sweetest people we met... More

I did not expect much in this one horse town but instead found a small hotel I would also go to in the city... clean, spacious (for 1) room with table, chest, microwave, really cold fridge and a coffee maker, Outside seating available and breakfast was also included (I did not try it as I am vegan, so can't tell).... There is really no other decent place to stay in town. It was just fine for our needs. Mom & Pop run place, but perfectly acceptable. We chose to stay in this town to be close to the Stevens Pass entrance to Mt. Rainier, as the Nisqually entrance may have delays. Breakfast was not replenished, & we were eating at... More

I contacted this hotel on May 3 and filled out their online form requesting information about availability at the end of August when we had to be in Packwood for a niece's wedding. I received an email back saying they would be in touch with me shortly to answer my request. Nothing ever happened. I called them back today and... More

The crest trail lodge is a no frills motel in Packwood. Believe me when I say the choices are very limited. That being said, this is a pretty nice motel. We found it to be clean, up to date & quiet. They have a really good free breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravey, waffles, fruit juices, coffee &... More

Packwood is a small town just barely hanging on. No good food available. This motel seems to me to be the best choice in town. Extremely clean, quiet and helpful. Maybe overpriced for the town, but there is really no other place remotely acceptable. If you're heading to Ranier, stay in another town if you can.

A group of freinds stayed here for skiing at White Pass. The lodge is clean, comfortable beds, staffed by a couple who live there. In the evening wine was served, generous breakfast in the morning. Rooms were quiet and spacious. Had a B&B feel.

In July, 2103, my wife and I went to Paradise on Mt. Rainier. There are National Park lodges in Paradise and Longmire. Their locations and atmospheres are wonderful (especially the one in Paradise), and the restaurants are excellent. However, they are old, rustic, and lack in modern comfort. As an alternative, we stayed in this motel in Packwood, which is... More

Packwood is a small and quiet place near to Mount Rainier. The hotel is a little bit on the outside. From the 1st contact everything was very good: a very good reception, big hospitality, very helpful. The room was nice and clean. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast.

First of all, you need to be aware that this place is at the far west side of town. It was not on my Garmin so I picked a place that was. The town is so small I thought I would spot the place easily. Well, I came in from the east and started to panic when I didn't see... More
