This historic hotel was so comfortable and charming! It was exciting to look out our window and see elk grazing! The owners were so helpful guiding how to see Mount Rainier and the area as well. We would love to go back. Tari and James Alexander

After booking this because of its historic past, I began to get nervous as the trip got closer because the rates were low and some rooms had to share two bathrooms. I was expecting the worst, but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The room was small, but had wifi, a tv, and a great view out the window. While... More

Way over priced - 120.00 for a double bed. When we checked in the front desk person could not find the key to our room. They thought maybe it had been rented, so left the front desk to see if anyone was in the room. Told us we would be in room 17, gave us the key to 18. Because... More

What a Wonderful little hotel in a charming mountain town. We LOVED it there. It's like visiting someone's grandmother in that warm and welcoming way. My husband was concerned based on how low the rate was, but his concerns were all allayed once we arrived. Clean, quiet and well kept, we were completely comfortable. The rooms aren't large but large... More

Feels like staying at grandma's house. Quaint and quiet and very very clean. Only possible drawback is two shared bathrooms. Never had to wait though. Plenty of places to find food nearby. Overall just a great place to stay.

Mt. Rainier National Park is amazing. Almost as amazing was the value, comfort and hospitality found at this neat little place. Darling Marilyn, the hostess, was superb in every way. Everything that was needed was had. I'm telling the truth, you should stay at the Hotel Packwood. BTW, I staying in the room Teddy Roosevelt stayed in so many years... More

Reviews for Packwood Hotel seemed too good to be true at such a reasonable price - but it turned out to be even better than anticipated, beginning with Marilyn's warm welcome. Rooms are small but spotless, bed very comfy, books everywhere in case the weather socked you in for a spell. Eclectic collection of antiques and memorabilia. Freshly brewed coffee... More

This is the cosiest hotel I've ever stayed at. The rooms are small but v clean. They are all different. Some have en suite, some share toilet and bath in the hallway but it doesn't matter because it's such a great place. I think I've stayed here 4-5 times since 1998 whenever my travels would take me to the Mt... More

The Hotel Packwood is not a 5-star hotel like a Four Seasons or a Ritz, but it warrants a 5-star rating for an excellent place to stay. In all honesty it feels more like staying at your grandmom's cabin (if you grandmom had a roomy cabin with many clean and presentable rooms). Marilyn (who appears to be the owner) greets... More

The Hotel Packwood is absolutely wonderful!! Don't let the price fool you! This place has no comparison! Lovely staff/owner, 'home like feel', more than comfortable accommodations and it feels like coming home every time! Don't miss a nights stay here!!
