This historic hotel, not to be confused with any of the other modern motels in this charming town, is a place worth experiencing. It is clean, filled with wonderful old antiques, lovely linens, a cozy sitting room, and friendly hosts! This hotel has a wraparound porch inviting you to sit a spell or unwind watching the elk and deer pass... More

My sister and I stayed one night at Hotel Packwood. It was a wonderful experience, our rooms were very clean, as was the hotel. Marilyn, the owner, was a very gracious hostess. The lobby felt like you were in your Mom's living room, we watched TV in the evening, enjoyed hot chocolate, and in the morning had oatmeal with coffee and... But we has a reservation there in Packwood so we detoured which took forever .. when we finally got there exhausted :( they told us... More

When it comes to nature we're out until it gets later and this hotel is a very good spot to return to! The hosts are nice and "talky" but they give you of course a rest if you like. The price and comfort is incomparable if you notice that a campground at some places costs the same (40$). We stayed... More

Packwood is a very small and quiet town and Hotel Packwood is a small and quiet hotel. There is a large wraparound porch that you enter from. The lobby is like someone's comfortable living room. Marilyn, the proprietor, greets everyone warmly and is very helpful. The rooms are upstairs and are a bit small but very cosy and comfortable. We... More

I stayed in a room with shared bath. It also has some rooms with private bath. I paid about $45 per night. I reached around 10:30 in the night which was a bit late but checking in was not a problem. My room was upstairs with a comfortable bed and a small TV. The shared bathrooms were clean and I... More

From the moment I arrived for my 3 night stay, the owner and the atmosphere made me feel right at home. It's a great place to stay to enjoy the mountains. Nice and quiet and you can walk to restaurants. Very cyclist friendly.

Spent two nights here at the most northerly point of a long road trip through California, Oregon and Washington. From the moment we arrived Marilyn the owner made us feel so welcome. The accommodation was great, we had booked a room with private bath, but seriously sharing would not have been a problem, everything is immaculately clean, there are plenty... More

We stayed here in July to do some serious hiking in Washington state. The hotel is charming and the DEAL of the century when it comes to prices. The lowest priced rooms share a common bathroom, but two rooms have a private bath. Bear in mind, this is an old, historic hotel, so the rooms are small, but the charm... More

If you want to be pampered with all the extras, then this is not the place for you. However, if you want a neat experience at a historic hotel (1912), spend a little time chatting with the owner (who will gladly give you information on places to see and short cuts getting there), you'll love it! We definitely would stay... More
