Packwood is a very small and quiet town and Hotel Packwood is a small and quiet hotel. There is a large wraparound porch that you enter from. The lobby is like someone's comfortable living room. Marilyn, the proprietor, greets everyone warmly and is very helpful. The rooms are upstairs and are a bit small but very cosy and comfortable. We... More

I stayed in a room with shared bath. It also has some rooms with private bath. I paid about $45 per night. I reached around 10:30 in the night which was a bit late but checking in was not a problem. My room was upstairs with a comfortable bed and a small TV. The shared bathrooms were clean and I... More

From the moment I arrived for my 3 night stay, the owner and the atmosphere made me feel right at home. It's a great place to stay to enjoy the mountains. Nice and quiet and you can walk to restaurants. Very cyclist friendly.

Spent two nights here at the most northerly point of a long road trip through California, Oregon and Washington. From the moment we arrived Marilyn the owner made us feel so welcome. The accommodation was great, we had booked a room with private bath, but seriously sharing would not have been a problem, everything is immaculately clean, there are plenty... More

We stayed here in July to do some serious hiking in Washington state. The hotel is charming and the DEAL of the century when it comes to prices. The lowest priced rooms share a common bathroom, but two rooms have a private bath. Bear in mind, this is an old, historic hotel, so the rooms are small, but the charm... More

If you want to be pampered with all the extras, then this is not the place for you. However, if you want a neat experience at a historic hotel (1912), spend a little time chatting with the owner (who will gladly give you information on places to see and short cuts getting there), you'll love it! We definitely would stay... More

We stayed one night at the Packwood Hotel. The hotel is older and has the feel of a converted house, no fancy frills, just friendly and quaint. The room was small but comfortable and clean. We paid just over $50 for a room with a private bath.

This historic hotel was so comfortable and charming! It was exciting to look out our window and see elk grazing! The owners were so helpful guiding how to see Mount Rainier and the area as well. We would love to go back. Tari and James Alexander

After booking this because of its historic past, I began to get nervous as the trip got closer because the rates were low and some rooms had to share two bathrooms. I was expecting the worst, but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The room was small, but had wifi, a tv, and a great view out the window. While... More

What a Wonderful little hotel in a charming mountain town. We LOVED it there. It's like visiting someone's grandmother in that warm and welcoming way. My husband was concerned based on how low the rate was, but his concerns were all allayed once we arrived. Clean, quiet and well kept, we were completely comfortable. The rooms aren't large but large... More
