A clean, economical time warp. Perfect for our family's one-night stay between Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier. The historical photos in the lobby were interesting to our grandsons who learned about Teddy Roosevelt in school.

I stayed at Hotel Packwood the night before and night after a 4 day backpacking trip in the nearby Goat Rocks Wilderness. The room was inexpensive, simple, and clean. The owners Marilyn and David are amazing. I had a long conversation with David about how they got into the hotel business and cattle ranching. Marilyn, bless her heart, washed my... More

This was the most pleasant place we have stayed in a long time. It was clean and quiet. The hospitality from Marilyn was wonderful. It was a homey and comfortable room. Very reasonable rates. Don't look elsewhere for a place to stay, u have found it.

We stayed at Hotel Packwood for two nights. It is a historic landmark in the center of the town. Marilyn and David could not have been better hosts. Our room was small but had everything we needed. We had one of the rooms with a bath. It was so cute! The large gathering room and wrap around front porch was... More

This is our favorite place to stay in Packwood. Lots of backpackers, hikers and downright interesting travelers stay here. It kind of has the feel of hostelling in Europe. Two rooms have adjacent bathrooms and the rest of the rooms sharethe bathrooms down the hall. The community room has a fireplace and offers hot chocolate and oatmeal for breakfast. Rooms... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night when visiting Mount Rainier National Park. We were looking for a budget stay to crash for the night, and this fit the bill perfectly. We had spent the day hiking in the Sunrise area of the National Park and got to Packwood pretty late in the evening. We had to check-in... More

Cozy, rustic, very friendly, and very affordable. These are the four main adjectives to describe Hotel Packwood. The first and lasting impression I had was it was like I was back in my grandparents place during my youth - the atmosphere, the old furniture, the chattiness of Marilyn and David. We love these couple for their openness and warmth during... More

This historic hotel, not to be confused with any of the other modern motels in this charming town, is a place worth experiencing. It is clean, filled with wonderful old antiques, lovely linens, a cozy sitting room, and friendly hosts! This hotel has a wraparound porch inviting you to sit a spell or unwind watching the elk and deer pass... More

My sister and I stayed one night at Hotel Packwood. It was a wonderful experience, our rooms were very clean, as was the hotel. Marilyn, the owner, was a very gracious hostess. The lobby felt like you were in your Mom's living room, we watched TV in the evening, enjoyed hot chocolate, and in the morning had oatmeal with coffee and...
