The setting was lovely; the room was very attractive and comfortable (beds were great and the bed linens were LOVELY); the staff was very helpful; the restaurant was excellent though a bit cold-looking. Only objections: the sound-proofing is inadequate--the clomping around of the people upstairs was transmitted readily through the floor; the "continental" breakfast is indeed inadequate, especially at 9... We stayed at Inn at Ship Bay on September 22 and 23, 2009. Our room was very comfortable and well furnished. We had a roomy porch with an excellent view of Ship Bay. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The breakfats were very good and the food at the Inn's restaurant was tops. We were very pleased with our... More

Great small hotel just outside the East Sound. Hotel staff very accomodating ( went as far as showing us through the room and where to see eagles, tidepools, ferry information etc.. The restaurant on site is VERY popular and food is outstanding !! All rooms have a great view of water and Turtleback mountain. (recommend 2nd floor if possible) The... More

We stayed for 4 nights and had an overall pleasant experience. We would definitely come back again but have a few suggestions: Negatives: Not enough insulation between our suite and the room below. We could hear the TV and conversations quite clearly even with the doors closed. There was a wedding next door in the field and the music went... More

The view from the private deck was awesome. The bed was really comfortable. The decor was ok. The furniture was oversized for the space. There was a hole in the armchair with stuffing coming out. The walls were in need of a paint job (lots of scuff marks). The walls are paper thin. At 3:00 a.m. we were awoken by... More

We recently ate dinner at the Inn at Ship Bay and were disappointed in the quality at the price. Although all ingredients were prime (golden beets, scallops, other seafood) and the dishes were plated attractively, two things were missing: flavor and correct temperature. Both my beet salad and my scallops were essentially without taste, and further, my scallops were room... More

We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Inn. All I can say is that it was absolutely perfect! I was celebrating my birthday (one of the big ones!) and wanted to go to a new, exciting, adventure-filled place. Orcas, and in particular, the Inn at Ship Bay, was everything I dreamed of! From the moment we arrived,... More

This small inn with 11 suite-style rooms, is located just past town on the shore at the "top of the horseshoe" that is Orcas Island. We enjoyed the views of Puget Sound from our terrace and were able to make ourselves comfortable in a beautifully decorated and maintained room. The high, king-size bed with down comforter was terrific after a... More

We stayed at the Inn at Ships Bay on our honeymoon last year. I can't tell you how much we loved it! We had room 211. We are anxious to go back as soon as we get a chance. The room was gorgeous. The service was great. The breakfast was so good, and the restaurant is well worth the cost.... More

Service and concern for your comfort and enjoyment are the priority at the Inn at Ship Bay. Our recent 5-night stay was among the best hotel experiences we've ever had. We could not get enough of the view from our room's porch, including watching the bald headed eagle pair feasting on fish remains and marveling over the moon rising above... More
