Well. . . .I read the previous 10 reviews. We just returned for a few days on the island. As a spur of the moment trip we found no hotels/motels/inns available OR less than $200-$300 per night. We were quite surprised at the prices. So Boardwalk had one nite open and was less than $200, so we took it. Pro's:... More

I regret using a booking that charged our credit card at the time the booking was made because there is no backing out. The (New?) owner was working on the property when we arrived from the ferry and told us to show up later. When we did, We found the door open and no door key was left behind. There... More

This is a little mom and pop establishment. The hosts are as sweet as can be. The cottage was quaint and a little out dated but for the price and the view with the location it is well worth it. We woke to the amazing view of the ocean with the ferries coming in every morning and it was spectacular.... More

Called numerous times to inquiry about check-in time and possible late arrival – no return calls. Had to locate someone in a café to find our reservation and let us in. Cottage is very run down. Mold and mildew smell throughout – guessing that is from the many leaks in the cottage. One night it rained and the roof leaked... More

The whole property has a charm but need an upgrade. We stayed in Mamies place, the whole night we have to sleep with a broken blinds in the main sliding door! We were promised that they will send somebody to replace the blinds but nobody came. Very small bathroom. We need to sit sideways on the toilet otherwise we will... More

We stayed in the Rose cottage which has a great view, washer, dryer, stove and big refrigerator. I was truly grateful for the washer and dryer and we cooked up some really tasty steaks that we bought at the market. The view was spectacular from every room. Other than that, the thing I didn't like about this place is how... More

We were given one key to the cottage, during one of the many activities on the island (hiking, boating, whale watching, swimming) we lost the key. We left multiple messages, knocked on the office, the resturant, but nothing. We were forced to sleep in the accommodating Ocras Hotel, for an additional fee. The next day the host, Mamie Forbes, claimed... More

Good location for the hotel, next to the ferry terminal, beautiful view, old but very clean. No A/C on a 90 degree day, but that happens seldom in Washington. Great breakfast and very accommadating. Showers down the hall, but bathtub in room, no biggy!!!! We'd go there again!

We stay in the Odella cottage, a good view of the harbour but somewhat restricted by a roofline and trees. This cottage was great for our 2 year old toddler, lots of room and a kitchen. Mamie was delightful and very nice... The location of this cottage was great, we just walked down the hill to the whale watch boat... More

We stayed in one of the cliff side cottages that overlooks the ferry landing...The view was awesome. The bathroom was small and you could tell that the place was older, but it was clean, comfortable, and quite romantic with the view and the electric fireplace. Another bonus is that it is located just up the hill from the ferry landing... More
