We had relatives to visit in Kapowsin, WA, so we, from Arizona, and my daughter with her family, from Wisconsin, met at this wonderful campground. We visited relatives in Kapowsin, went fishing at Westport, visited friends in Lacey. When we weren't running around doing what needed to be done, we relaxed at the grounds. Lots of room for the kids... More

I can't say enough nice things about this place! Easy to locate off I5 in Tumwater, close to Olympia the state capital. The site was clean and offered privacy amongst the tall firs and cedars. Children really enjoy the heated pool, evening hay ride and large field/playground. I noticed many had bikes, not a bad idea! The little store had... More

I stayed at this campground 11 years ago on my way home to Canada after a horrible experience with my car dying and having to abandon it in Salem. When I arrived it was late at night and the office was closed. Out of nowhere an angel appeared who was so wonderful to my daughter and I that I never... More

visited on our way back to Seattle from Olympic national park. Checked in a little late (about 730pm) so I decided to call and notify the campground and they were extremely friendly, even offering to leave firewood out for us for when we arrived in the event that they wouldn't be there to check us in. Checked in about 730... More

recently stayed for 2 days at this campground. Very friendly staff, nice secluded campsites with lots of trees ( a little tight to back in a few spots with a larger rv/trailer ) very clean restrooms with free showers, a little farm area with animals, small store for forgotten items, outdoor pool and child play area. right off the main... This is the best campground my family has been to in Washington. There campsites were nice and private and fairly well spaced out there are a few in the open but most have trees on both sides and its not just a bush or two like most sites give you the more rustic feel like you are actually camping out... We have been going to American Heritage Campground for 13 years since our oldest grandson was 2. Nice clean campground, family oriented, and very friendly people. We now camp there twice a year and bring more of our grandchildren. Great place to relax and feel safe and comfortable...Highly recommend for familys.

Our RV Club stayed at American Heritage RV Park this weekend, and we thought it was a superb location. I had the owner, Rita, set aside spots in January and worked with her and Carla to manage the spots as club members made their reservations. It was a pleasure to work with both of them. They were very thoughtful and... More

We brought our grandkids here for the weekend and were very happy with the facilities. The pool was very clean, as were the bathrooms and showers. The staff was very friendly and helpful and also kept a good presence in the campgraound itself (they don't just sit in the office all day). As mentioned before, the campground is well treed,... This is well treed, clean, well managed campground. The managers are overly helpful. They enforce the rules, but are not unreasonable. Laundry facilities are clean, bathrooms and showers are kept up and recently renovated. Has a sister campground called Olympia Campground which is not treed.
