The limited photos of this hotel posted on the Net are totally misleading. The hotel is OLD - horrible outside, not inviting (unlike the internet picture) wallpaper is peeling off the walls (right behind the front desk person) the lobby is nice. Our room was decent but not for the price I paid. And where was the bathroom that was... More

This is my go to hotel when I need to be in Olympia for work. They take the government rate, its easy to either jump on freeway or take backroads into town. The area is isolated and very quiet. They have a good restaurant for dinner and beer. The breakfast is good but not complimentary, which is too bad. Also,... More

Stayed here two nights while a family member had surgery at Capital Medical. It was convenient, comfortable, and perfect for my needs.a bit tricky to find at first in the dark! My car'sGPS had me going round the mulberry bush! Once found, easy to return to.

My daughter was taking a swimming competition at Evergreen State College, so our whole family went there and stayed for two nights. There are not that many hotels in that area, so this Red Lion Hotel had to be one of a few options for us. The hotel is at a very convenient location - close to US101 freeway entrance,... More

Our family stayed at the Red Lion Hotel for The Evergreen State College graduation in June 2014. Everyone was very friendly. The staff helped us with suggestions for restaurants, directions, and even checked the weather for graduation day for us. The restaurant on the premises and the adjoining cocktail lounge were a plus. It feels like it's in the woods... More

We spent one night here on a road trip, traveling from Victoria, BC to Hood River, OR. The hotel has lovely grounds in a very picturesque and well maintained setting. Rooms were comfortable and clean, beds were comfortable, and service was great.

As a hotel general manager myself, I must admit to having a stricter standard of service. I was a little disappointed in my experience at this hotel as far as guest service was concerned. I stayed at this hotel during a business trip in October. The hotel was very tricky to find, especially since I had never been to Olympia... More

As we drove up to the hotel, we were surprised as to how large the entire property was. The front desk staff were efficient and friendly, especially to family. My partner and I were wanting to stay in the same bed and it was offered before we could even ask. The hotel itself is a little dated, but the rooms... More

My wife and I and our two dogs were traveling through Olympia, WA on our way home and needed a last-minute room. We stopped at the first place that allowed dogs and checked in (The Olympia Inn. DO NOT STAY THERE). After leaving that place, I called the Red Lion. Not only do they allow dogs, but their rate was... More

I will stay here again. I felt like I was coming home each night. These people really care about you. The manager named "Mr Bill" came and sat and talked with me at dinner. Resturant was very good with table cloths. Very comfortable bed. Very large room (206) with a view of river. No smell In room or sheets of... More
