Beautifully set in the trees with a wonderful view. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Dinner at in house restaurant was very nice. The accommodations were just as described and the price was fair. I would defiantly stay again!

Even though our room was non smoking. The room smelled like it used to be a smoking room. I asked the front desk about it. They said they will send a maid to "freshen up the room" for us. But, they nevered came. They didnt even offered to move us at all. I should had asked and insist on it.... More

Needed something by rte 101 and stayed here for first time. Was a great experience. Warm friendly staff. Gave us our room early. Room was very large. Bed very comfy. View overlooking pool and grounds was very relaxing. A peaceful setting. Restaurant was very attractive and conveniently served very early for breakfast so we were able to get an early... More

The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable that we slept right through breakfast the first day. But, we recommend the buffet breakfast every morning. Wonderful selection and great price. The evening happy hour is just wonderful and the bartenders are funny! Great happy hour appetizers and even greater prices! Loved it! The hotel grounds have a... More

Wonderful hotel. The room was big, it was really quiet, the bed was divine. Breakfast was just what we wanted. The staff was friendly and helpful. I just wish I had more opportunities to go to Olympia so I can stay there again. I would highly recommend it.

We attended a relative's wedding in the Capitol Building rotunda. The Red Lion was a very convenient location to to access the State Capitol and downtown Olympia. Maybe a five to seven minute drive. Although the hotel is situated just off the freeway system you would never know it as it feels as if you were in a forest. The... More

We were in Olympia for one evening and chose the Red Lion due to its location (the back part of the hotel overlooks the Capitol while being set in Parkland), First of all the hotel is big. it is only 3 stories but has a wide footprint. There is ample parking in a nice parking lot with pine trees. The... More

We have stayed here twice visiting relatives. We always bring our Cocker Spaniel, and the hotel is very dog friendly. They offer a "doggie bag" with treat, poopie bag & silly "Woof Woof - Do not disturb" sign when you check in. Ask for rooms on the ground floor with sliding door to the grass area if you have a... I stayed here as part of a golf group. I was given a large room with a deck, overlooking the pool and woods. The hotel and room was a little dated, but it was clean and the TV had a great picture. Outside noise was minimal. Staff were very friendly and we got an excellent rate. My main problem with... More
