We really enjoyed our stay at this well run hotel. The staff is efficient and friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. We liked the fact that we could walk down the hill around the inner lake below the state capitol building. Also very easy access to I5. We had a pleasant stay and highly recommend the hotel.

I have stayed here frequently on business trips. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful while I am there. Most often the rooms have been comfortable and the setting is certainly superb. I once left a fancy hanger in the room and never got it back, even though I requested it within the day. I asked... Here was a hotel that knew what staff training meant. We received exceptional service. Friendly, professional and attentive. When everyone greets you and is helpful you know that this staff has been well taught and it didn't seem forced. Staff were just naturally friendly. Very pet friendly we took our small King Charles Cavalier and they gave us a perfect... More

The front desk clerk upgraded me partly because I was having a bad day and mostly because I am a rewards member. That was nice to have a larger room. My only complaint is that my room had an adjoining room and the noise level was high. I have always wondered why doors don't go all the way to the... More

Having come off a five-star experience in October, it was curious to me how this would measure up. True, I wasn't there for pleasure- it was the location of a business engagement and it seemed reasonable to lodge there since the that's where the business was going to be conducted . I was going in with a bit of skepticism........ More

Hotel is large, inviting at first glance and rooms are big, cushy and clean. Location is a bit isolated (ie can't walk to other restaurants) which is a problem when the kitchen is as bad as we experienced. Even during Happy Hour, half price was twice as much as this food was worth. Two of our three choices were not... More

The entrance is amazing, nicley done for Christmas. The hotel is very large and has lots of areas to take your dogs for walks. It is a older hotel that has been updated. The rooms were very large and had a fridge and microwave. Overall for the price and the location I say it is a good stay!

Sitting on a bluff looking out over Capitol Lake, this is a great location with a view, though not too much is close by within walking distance. The rooms have been updated some, but still seem a bit shabby. Lack of power outlets is a bit annoying, haven't most hotels by now figured to put power outlets in all lamps,... More

This is our favorite hotel in Olympia. It is close to the lake or large river, and some rooms offer a pretty view. it is very clean and comfortable, and seems rather out of the way. But it is actually close to downtown Olympia and a very short drive to the central park which is charming. The hotel is in... More

My parents used to stay at Red Lion when they'd come visit us in Oly, so after their high praise, we booked a room there on our last night in town (after all the stuff was loaded into a moving truck). While our stay was short, the hotel was so great, especially for the price. The beds were comfy, the... More
