Stayed here for three nights on a weekend, and when all is said and done the Governor Hotel seems to be a quirky, basic, hotel in a nice little city. As pointed out in some of the other reviews, the hotel does have an unusual odor in the lobby and elevators, and parts of it are dated. The bathroom fixtures,... more

Despite the shabbiness and a little bit of mold in the bathroom (and don't even THINK of taking them up on the free breakfast until they change restaurants), I liked the place. Why? The sheets were clean, the staff tried hard and were really pleasant and helpful, the view was awesome, and the location can't be beat. My room was... more

We stayed at this hotel because all others were full. We were too tired to drive on to the next bigger town. It was in downtown Olympia. The rooms were dirty. We paid first before we saw it. When we walked in there was dust everywhere. The vanity in the bathroom was broken. The boxspring had brown stuff on the... more

This place seriously needs to be refurbished! The common areas smell of cabbage and stale cigarettes, and the rooms aren't much better. We stayed on the 8th floor, and couldn't believe how loud the street noises were. Can't imagine how loud it would be if your room is lower. Wanted to walk out onto our teeny 'balcony', but the spiders... more

Stayed on New Years eve. Pleasantly surprised to find that the negative reviews are no longer true! The carpet on the main floor could stand to be replaced, and the tub and sink in our room showed signs of wear, but the hotel (and our room) was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly, and the service excellent. The complementary breakfast... more

I booked a conference for my organization at this hotel and was extremely dissatsified with the service. Not only was our conference moved into a different room than promised (which was NOT ADA accessible -the reason we booked there in the first place), but the tables were not set up as specified and the floor hadn't been vacuumed. Catering services... more

We just stayed at the Ramada Governor with two small kids. I first read the reviews of the hotel and was hesitant to make the reservations in advance so we got to Olympia early and checked it out. It is not a new hotel by any means but it was centrally located with average rooms. Our room was on the... more

By all means, if possible, avoid this location! Everything about this hotel is OLD - no not antique, but OLD, worn out, used up and un-kept. The bathroom of our assigned room was DIRTY ( I took photos, but they are in my cell phone)! The bathroom included stained wallpaper from the 1970's, yellow spots of mold growing on the... more

This was a terrible hotel, very dirty, run-down, unsafe. The front-desk staff were great, but the conditions of the rooms were unsanitary. In addition, the maid stole my designer sunglasses. more

I recently stayed at the Ramada Inn Governor House in Olympia to visit my daughter. We chose this hotel because it is in the heart of the city and because it has view rooms (views other than parking lots). When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that it was very central and we could walk everywhere in the city. The... more
