We stayed here because the rest of our friends and families were staying here for the weekend. The rooms smells and looks creepy. For the price we paid, it was ok for a night stay. However, the front desk staff were so unprofessional. We got to Oceanshores late and checked in late. They had a sign they were closed at... More

DO NOT STAY HERE! CONS: 1. Like previous reviewers said, the rooms have funky smells; musty like odor. 2. No maid service; for what they charge there is no maid service. Want clean towels? You have to take your dirty ones to the office for clean ones. 3. The beds are bloody awful; sleeping on rocks would be more comfortable.... More

Save your money and pass on this dump! The bed was incredibly uncomfortable! The bathroom toilet failed to flush and conveniently had a toilet plunger next to it. Our room #318 had a very noisy mini-frig that struggled to function. This hotel, overall, is in dire need of basic repairs and maintenance! Incredibly run down and filthy appearing room. The... I rented the "party room" and a room for my daughters birthday, first the party room smelled so bad our guests were uncomfortable. The games in the party room did not work had I known that I would have brought some. The room I rented was beyond disgusting! The coffee cups were dirty, the fridge was filthy, there was food... The geocaching and kayaking are excellent. We especially like Duck Lake with only two geocaches, but many islands and beautiful homes to paddle by as we enjoyed near perfect cool spring weather with gorgeous cloudy skies. The OSIS rooms have gone downhill since we stayed there several years ago. Bare light bulbs, minimal kitchen supplies (no paper towels even), ratty,... More

This was our 3rd stay here, in the last 5 years and were both very surprised about how much this place had deteriorated. Carpets stained, ripped, torn, with tack strip visible, as you walked through the front door. Window seals cracked and foggy, dirty inside and out. Pealing paint, water damage in the ceiling above the dining room table. Not... More

to start off, I had to walk through the hotel back outside and around the building outside to get to my room. Upon entering my room, it smelled awful I had to open the windows first thing to get some fresh air, which have no screens, because I couldn't handle it, the room was half the size I expected it... We have travelled extensively, far and wide. This is the worst, or second worst, easily, experience ever. We checked in on a stormy evening after many hours on the road. We were welcomed by an entire family of glum faces. Literally, the family of the staff. Sisters, uncles, aunts, babies, you name it. They parked in the covered entry where... More

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend with our one year old. The room we got was huge, it was a two queen bedroom with kitchen. The kitchen came fully furnished with pots, pans, dishes, cups, wine glasses, utensils, dish soap, etc. and a dining table. A few things in the room were not working so I called... More

We are so glad we didn't take heed to some of reviews we had read. We had a three bedroom suite for the weekend. Couldn't believe how much room we actually had. Could easily sleep 10 comfortably. It's an older building with some wear and tear here and there. But it's clean, the service is friendly and the price is... More
