My wife and I felt privileged to share this immaculately maintained period (early 20th century) home and property for a memorable but all-too-short stay. Ginger's hospitality, coupled with the beautiful surroundings and incredible breakfasts (fried oysters are now one of our favourite foods), helped transform our 40th anniversary into something even more special. The house is richly furnished in the... More

I don't know were to begin, the super friendly Ginger, who happens to love one of the same movies I do, "The Enchanted Cottage", or the peaceful surroundings of this wonderful old house, or the super comfy bed, or the unbelievable breakfast with homemade scones, fresh breaded and fried oysters with a fluffy omelette. You all need to experience a... More

We stayed 4 days at the Charles Nelson guest house and it couldn't have been better. The host, Ginger, prepared excellent breakfasts that would rival any brunch in NYC. The b&b is well appointed with cozy sitting rooms and comfortable bedrooms. We travel often to Long Beach Peninsula to see family and I'm sure we'll be staying there again.

The hostess of this B & B anticipated our every need, including things we didn't know we needed or wanted. She has lots of good ideas for making her guests comfortable and at ease in her home. Her breakfasts are more than ample, leaving scones left over for midday snacks. We loved her prepared-to-perfection oysters as a complement to every... More

We had such a quiet and pleasant stay at the Charles Nelson Guest House. Ginger was so friendly and made the best breakfast! So relaxing and enjoyable. Great choice for Long Beach and much more enjoyable than a hotel!

What a beautifully appointed house. We stayed in this interesting remote spot hoping to see stars in a dark sky but the romantic sea mist took over and we had wisps threading through the trees in the National park instead. Oysterville is a good place to visit with period architecture dating from it's hay-day. The Charles Nelson guest house is... More

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Charles Nelson, thanks in part to the Stash Tea B&B coupon (a great deal). Very comfortable room, great breakfast, and a very gracious host whose company and advice greatly enhanced our stay. You should plan to skip lunch -- we had to reduce the portions for the second day, which was... More

We had seen the inn on previous trips to the Long Beach Peninsula but it had been fully booked. This time we booked one night online before arriving. We chose Elsa's room. Often an inn will look great from the outside but disappoint once you get through the door. This is not the case at Charles Nelson Guest House. The... More

This bed and breakfast is the best I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay there as they were full, but our best friends were there and the hostel asked us to come to breakfast out of the goodness of her heart. The house is very welcoming and beautifully decorated. The grounds are equally lovely. There is... More

I stayed at Charles Nelson Guest House last week while traveling for business. I was very impressed by how well the owners cover all of the little details. The whole place is very nicely done, from the perfectly done garden to the comfortable common spaces. My room (Nancy's room) was bright and cheerful in the afternoon sun when I checked... More
