It was like sleeping in someone's house who wasn't home. Sure, someone met us at the door, but it was clear we were taking away from their regular activities, and they could hardly wait to give us our room keys so they could leave. It was kind of a mess and they appeared rushed and distracted with their kids and... More

I stayed here a few times while visiting family in Newport. The openers couldn't be friendlier. I have stayed I two different rooms and both were pleasant and comfortable. Everything is low key here. Breakfast is self serve but anything you want. From cereal, yogurt to eggs and pancakes. I highly recommend this charming B&B.

I stayed at this B&B for 5 nights in late April 2014 for business reasons. The couple who owns and operates the place were very accommodating and personable. It was a clean and safe place to stay. Amenities included refrigerator w/small freezer, microwave, TV with satellite, and a jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was self-serve and included juices, coffee, teas, cold cereals,... More

I stayed for an extended stay at the Walden House Inn for a work trip and found my stay to be most enjoyable. The self serve breakfast was great for me, as my work day started very early, and they had everything I would need for a good breakfast. The bed was very comfortable, even better than my own at... I have had an opportunity to stay here on multiple occasions and really enjoyed my stay and was impressed by the hospitality of the owners, the beds are the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept on while on the road. I have been on the road for the past 3 years and would highly recommend this Inn for... More

We truly enjoyed the host couple at this B and B. The room was nice enough, but it was advertised and priced as a "suite" when it was really a room with a bathroom. Breakfast was on-your-own rather than prepared, as it is at every other B and B we've been to.

The owners are friendly and inviting. The room we stayed in was very nice. We loved the king sized comfortable bed. We enjoyed having a small frige in our room. We liked the versatility of choosing to eat in the house kitchen or the more private table in our room. It was nice to have an unscheduled breakfast time. We... More

We needed to find an overnight stay in eastern Washington State and on the basis of recent Tripadvisor reports, we selected Walden House and the Desert Room. This is one of their cheaper rooms, but was adequate for one night and we pre-paid. Some of the fittings were cheap and cheerful, but the quality appears to improve in line with... More

Comfortable, cozy rooms with private bath. Very accommodating and friendly owners. Good food. Beautiful surroundings. What more can you ask for in a Bed and Breakfast. If our travels bring us this way again, this will be our choice!
