This place has gotten some harsh review lately, BUT I'm here to say that my Thanksgiving meal was great. Lovely white tablecloths, great down home turkey dinner, same great view and excellent service. If you've been disappointed, do try again!

The location of this cottage is great, it is right on the river and a short walk to the restaurant and the Fireside Lounge. We had an early dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed the food. The cottage is in need of some tender loving care. You really need to bring all of the utensils and pans you need to... More

We ordered the Whistlin Jack Lodge - Nachos. They have their " blend" in the nachos. With no description of what "the blend is" It took 1/2 hour to get our order. The nachos came out cold with black lumps of hamburger on top. Also the blend included mushrooms. Who puts mushrooms on Nachos?

The location is great! The restaurant has some potential with an attempt at finer dining, but there is a gas station basically attached. The food is alright but seems a bit pricey. It's nice to stop by every now and then. If you're in Yakima the food at the Woodshed is really good and cheaper but granted it is more... More

They market themselves as being rustic and charming, but shoddy is not the same as rustic and beyond the charming setting, at least in the "lodge" units, there is nothing charming about a motel room with small scratchy bath towels you have to leave the shower area to find, a light in the bathroom too dim to do a crossword... Where to start? Pulled into the parking lot and the whiskey tango crowd was out in full force. Lots of in appropriate language from general riff raff outside, inside you enter at the hotel(?) lobby. Most unfriendly welcome I have ever received at a customer service establishment. Walked around the corner to the restaurant lobby, Hostess must have been having... More

First off, My husband and I did not stay in the hotel or cabins so I can not comment on those areas. We did drive over Chinook Pass to have lunch and what a great meal! It did take a little time to get our food, but we did not mind because we enjoyed looking at the river and watching... More

My wife and I used to stop in frequently to hear Donny play in the bar. The atmosphere was always lively and the food was good. Now, Donny has left, the food has gone downhill and the atmosphere is sluggish at best. There is a high turnover of help too. We also eat breakfast in the dining room occasionally where... More

Just don't bother with the hotel, restaurant ok. I don't see my previous post. Place in need of serious update. I've been coming here for 30+ years to restaurant that's always been out of date but first time at hotel. Just gross and dangerous due to no phone service-cell and land line

My wife and I are still happily eating our way through The Pacific Northwest on our vacation. We didn't stay here but did stop for food. The restaurant is beautiful and out of another time: Dark and lodgy, cozy yet with a feeling of formality. You feel special as you sit and look out of the large windows onto the... More
