Abel House is welcoming, comfortable and quiet. Our hosts, Jerry and Beth, went out of their way to be helpful. (Their secret weapon is Beth's incredibly charming, witty, interesting mother, "Granny"!) We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, good conversation, and a restful night's sleep. We chose to stay in Montesano which is only ten miles or so from the Aberdeen/Hoquiam area,... More

It's difficult to describe how pleasant & welcoming this place is. If you are in the area you simple must stay with Jerry & Beth. It a grand old home near the courthouse in a small town. The breakfast fabulous & rooms are lovely.

Can only reaffirm what has been written before. One thing not mentioned is the location. This is a great place to use as a base from which to explore the area. Beaches, road bike rides, mountain bike rides, hiking, kayaking, and wineries are all close. Rain forest and vampires are but a few hours north. Come, stay, eat breakfast.

Seven of us stayed at the Abel House for 3 nights while we canoed/kayaked the Chehalis River. The rooms (each with a TV) and beds were very comfortable, breakfasts were outstanding, coffee was available eary in the morning outside our rooms, the huge front porch provided the perfect place for our evening wine and appetizers, Beth packed our lunches two... We were only able to stay one night, wish it was longer The room was wonderful. I felt like I was in a castle. Just as it is advertised..."Old World Grace & Charm". The breakfast was outstanding. Even had decafe coffee for us. Would recommend this to everyone. 5 star Jim & Noreen Pelk, Port Alberni, BC

Great Bed and Breakfast! Jerry and Beth do a wonderful job of making you feel at home and then filling you with a great breakfast. Easy conversations on the beautiful porch and a charming town combine for a relaxing stay. I suspect if Aunt Bea would have owned a b and b it would have been exactly like this.

You know how sometimes B&Bs can feel a little awkward? Sometimes the proprietors hover, and sometimes they aren't interactive and you feel like an intruder? Not so with Jerry and Beth. This felt like the good version of visiting relatives- warm, comfortable, and a little bit doting. I got the feeling that this family simply has a good time being... More

We found this B &B on a whim. Driving to Aberdeen, WA we did not expect to have problems getting a hotel, wrong, the only one we felt decent enough to stay at was completely booked GRADUATION WEEK ;-). We looked and found this B&B, boy was I pleasantly surprised, the suite was decorated very nice, private bath, comfortable bed,... More

I booked the Able House suite room (has a private bath) for my mom and I to stay while attending her Montesano high school 50th reunion. Jerry and Beth were so friendly and inviting and their "Granny" is such a darling lady. The room was quiet, clean, charming and had more little details and goodies than I was even expecting... More

We were on a cycling trip through Washington on our way to Portland. We were told about Abel House and it more than lived up to our expectations. After a long day cycling the friendly welcome and advice on were to eat and what to see was most welcome. The rooms are quiet and luxurious and the breakfast was unbelievably... More
