I came to Washington to visit a friend, and because her residence didn't have adequate space, I got a hotel room and we stayed together so I wasn't hopelessly stranded. The stay I had was relatively simple, but not bad. The rooms seemed a bit tiny, but everything else, from the Wi-Fi seemed fine. I'd stay here again, likely. Pros:... more

We stayed one night in Monroe, the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was good parking and the hotel was within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, a movie theater and shopping. The breakfast in the morning was one of the most complete hotel breakfasts that I have ever had. The walls are kind of thin and we... more

The rooms were clean. The front desk was fine. It is perfectly adequate for basic lodging. The internet SUCKED. Sporadically froze for several minutes at a time. TV service SUCKED. Nice flat panel TV's but very few channels and crappy signal and picture. Breakfast was typical fare. Better than nothing. I had to stay here for two weeks for work.... more

My 83 year old mother placed reservations for 5 rooms for a family event of hot air ballooning in nearby Snohomish,at dawn the following morning. This was to be a gift trip from her, to the family. In the morning of the reservation date, the balloon company called to cancel the flight planned for that next day, due to weather.... more

Members of my daughter's soccer team recently enjoyed a four-night stay at the Guesthouse Inn. The property was attractive, extremely clean, conveniently located next to fast-food, chain and other restaurants, Fred Meyer, and the Galaxy 12 movie theater -- all within walking distance (1-2 blocks). We stayed in a King-room; enjoyed the pool and spa, and continental breakfast (yummy Cinnabons,... more

I made a reservation at this hotel for the night of a wedding being held nearby. When I called on the day of the wedding, prior to check in, I was informed that they had charged me a no-show fee because I hadn't checked in the night before. I told them that they had made a mistake with the reservation.... more

Management response from

In 2006 the hotel upgraded the computer system and at that time we implemented the policy to confirm reservations on sold out dates to ensure accuracy. Because our guest responded so well to this new policy we decided to continue confirming reservations on all sold out days. The hotel did contact and leave a message for the guests, confirming the...

My teenage son and I travel to Monroe annually to attend the car races and fireworks show at Evergreen Speedway. The last four years we have stayed at the "Express". We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays with them and can't think of any possible complaints. The rooms are clean and generous in size. The indoor pool and exercise area are... more
