We love the Moonstone. Sure, its an older building and shows it but the rooms are large, clean and in a word, delightful. The kitchen was well stocked, there were lots of towels in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable with real blankets instead of the weird foam ones some newer motels have. Dogs are welcome here and my dog... More

My husband and I spent a great 5 days at Moonstone. We were in #7, in which the bedroom is separate from the living room/kitchen. A plus for us. Great view of the ocean, very friendly manager. The place is old, but they had everything we needed: comfortable bed, rocking chairs, good size table for doing puzzles as well as... More

Loved my stay in #7 at Moonstone. It was very quiet, the beach was uncrowded, the view was unbelievable, and the motel owners were very friendly and genuine. The place hasn't been updated for perhaps decades, but the view and price made it worth it. I will be back to stay in the new motel next year.

Greatly enjoyed our stay. Love the solitude. This place has definitely been well loved. New is always nice but for the $ I'm happy at with the old building. Only suggestions would be a wash station for the dogs & hooks to hang towels & clothes. Manager was GREAT!!

Been staying at Moonstone on occasion over the last 30 or so years. It's run down but lovingly cared for, kept clean to the extent possible, well priced, and on the beach and perfect for dogs. Don't expect a spa, and you'll be satisfied!

Great location on the beach, great views. Family had a great time. Awesome way to spend the 4th of July, setting and watching fire works on the beach around a fire. All round great atmosphere. Will return again. Will recommend to others, for sure...............................................................................................

Great location on the beach, nice policy allowing dogs, nice staff but.....I feel like I was ripped off for what I paid per night in comparison to the condition of the property. The place felt like it was about to fall down around me and yet I paid quite a bit of money. Had I known the condition of the... More

Lucked into the big room with the oven & a great view. Ben the dog enjoyed it greatly. As always, clean, dry and neat. Plenty of towels & linen. Would have liked to have gotten Wi-Fi but it doesn't quite reach Room 6. Slider was a tad sticky which is to be expected on a beach front room.

this used to be a top attraction, not any more it is very very tired and falling down, beware of the stairs. This establishment has so much potential, being right on the beach with a million dollar view and it is for lack of a better work poor.

When I was a child (about 30 years ago) my family came here to clam. I brought my own family back here to get away for a few days. The clamming regulations have changed in 30 years, and we weren't able to dig, but no matter, what a great experience! We stayed in room 7 as a family of 5... More
