We stayed in a studio cabin at Freestone Inn on 9/16 and 9/17 and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience of the area. We stayed here about 5 years ago, and were concerned that things might be a little worn, but were pleased to find the accommodations clean and well cared for. Our only disappointment was that the restaurant was closed on... More

Our small family of five adults and one child enjoyed the Steelhead Lodge near the Freestone Inn last weekend. The lodge home has a nice porch with a view of the little Freestone Lake, and is close to the lodge. It has three bedrooms, each with it's own bath, and a 1/2 bath on the main level. It was pretty... We chose the Firestone Inn as a place we could pamper ourselves after hikes in the North Cascades. We were not disappointed. Our room in the lodge was comfortable and it afforded us a pleasant view of a small lake from our balcony. The staff was pleasant and gave us great tips on hikes to take. The dinners we had... More

We were there for two nights and enjoyed it very much. People were nice and helpful. Without knowing much about the area, we got information about what to do or where to go and we just had so much fun! Our room was spacious and clean. I liked very much sitting in the balcony facing the pond.

We had a marvelous stay at The Freestone Inn in July. The location was beautiful and the dinner excellent. Our host Sage was just wonderful. Interested, helpful, kind and extraordinarily attentive. The chef, and I'm so sorry I don't know his name, certainly knows how to make an superb dinner. The first night we had a delicious Boeuf Bourguignon. The... More

Dear Iva A, Thank you for your review of the Freestone Inn. Although I'm sorry to learn that you thought the trails weren't interesting, perhaps our staff didn't mention that some of the trails around here are the best in the west, including the MVSTA system and 'bucket list' worthy hikes such as Lake Ann / Maple Pass Loop and... 12 of us (4 families, 3 kids and 9 adults ) stayed at the Freestone for a family reunion . All the accommodations were perfect - studio cabin, 1 BR cabin, 2 BR cabin, 2 BR hotel suite- and the staff was warm and helpful. Breakfast had limited choices but was fresh and nicely prepared . Active families might prefer... More

My wife and I didn't stay at the Inn, but we did have dinner. The dining room is bright with a fantastic view of a pond, reminiscent of something you would see in Wyoming. We were greeted at the front by a large drunk man, reeking of beer, and taken to a wonderful table by the window. Our server Jake... More

Dear bossengineer, We appreciate you dining with us and all of your comments. I'm sorry that you perceived our host to be drunken, which is something we absolutely don't tolerate (I don't know how many businesses would). We haven't had a male host for over a month and a half now, so I'm confident that this particular person is no... More

We found this inn on trip advisor looking for some solitude in the mountains. This was a great find for a relaxing weekend. The lodge is beautiful, the setting is beautiful and the room had great ambiance. We especially loved the stone fireplace and large soaking tub. Lodge dining was brilliantly prepared with a large selection of wine choices. Highly... More

Our great experience started when I called the Freestone Inn and inquired about a room for our family. Wendy answered our call and all of my questions. She truly worked with me on finding the right place and it was worth every penny! We arrived after a day of driving to an amazing view of their fly fishing pond/lake from... More
