12 of us (4 families, 3 kids and 9 adults ) stayed at the Freestone for a family reunion . All the accommodations were perfect - studio cabin, 1 BR cabin, 2 BR cabin, 2 BR hotel suite- and the staff was warm and helpful. Breakfast had limited choices but was fresh and nicely prepared . Active families might prefer... More

My wife and I didn't stay at the Inn, but we did have dinner. The dining room is bright with a fantastic view of a pond, reminiscent of something you would see in Wyoming. We were greeted at the front by a large drunk man, reeking of beer, and taken to a wonderful table by the window. Our server Jake... More

We found this inn on trip advisor looking for some solitude in the mountains. This was a great find for a relaxing weekend. The lodge is beautiful, the setting is beautiful and the room had great ambiance. We especially loved the stone fireplace and large soaking tub. Lodge dining was brilliantly prepared with a large selection of wine choices. Highly... More

Our great experience started when I called the Freestone Inn and inquired about a room for our family. Wendy answered our call and all of my questions. She truly worked with me on finding the right place and it was worth every penny! We arrived after a day of driving to an amazing view of their fly fishing pond/lake from... More

Lovely location. We stayed in a studio cabin which was nice and quiet. If we were going back again we would choose a one bedroom cabin along the river, such as cabin 3. The cabins do not come with maid service and breakfast, which is surprising considering the high cost of the cabins - not good value for money. We... More

Sadly, less than one hour after our arrival, we were approached in the parking lot and rebuked us for where we parked, then questioned about the beverages we were carrying. We decided the man must be an under payed, disgruntled employee trying to sabotage the place. We informed the front desk so that the Manager might prevent that behavior in... More

Dear CharleneLP P, I'm glad to have the opportunity to respond to your review personally. I was the person who approached you after finding your car that was parked sideways at the end of an island for almost an hour blocking through traffic on our one-way roundabout. You also admitted to walking around with open alcoholic beverages. I very politely... More

The Freestone Inn is simply one of the most incredible hotels anywhere. It's the only place I've ever stayed that has its own flyfishing lake ("pond" doesn't do it justice). I can't think of another hotel you can stay in and watch osprey go after trout each morning. The only other place I've done that was a tent. The rooms... More

Dear kapalitoff, I enjoyed reading your detailed review and accounts of your fishing experiences. You definitely stayed during one of the quieter times of the year, so it can in some ways feels a little too tranquil. We will try to find some way to liven things up. I'm pleased to hear that you think it is an incredible place.... More

We spent three nights at the Inn in an incredibly spacious condo (bedroom, living room, gourmet kitchen, two baths, two fireplaces and two balconies!) as we explored the Cascades National Park. It was a restful respite especially after spending a large part of the day hiking. We could return, kick back on the balcony and enjoy the lake views. We... More

Dear vatravelingbug, Thank you so much for staying with us and for your review. We appreciate the time you have taken to let us know your thoughts. As we recall, you stayed in the middle of the week, and we do generally close Jack's Hut then in the off season. However, we were able to offer pool towels for the... More

The Freestone Inn is a lovely, peaceful inn located in one of the prettiest spots in the Northwest. My significant other and I spent three relaxing nights/days there last week. While a little spendy, it offers a beautiful, rustic, yet elegant ambiance. The restaurant produced a terrific dinner for us - truly memorable. The property faces a lovely small lake,... More
