My husband and I stayed at the Freestone in Dec 2008, and we are very frequent visitors to the Mazama area for cross country skiing. For 10 days, we practically had the lodge to ourselves because no one was staying there. It is a nice place, but it is too expensive, and we cannot afford to go back. We requested... more

this was our annual fall trip to the beautiful methow valley. we stayed at the wilson ranch, in one of their cabins. we usually bring our own food to cook in the cabin, but were delighted to hear the freestone inns' dining room was open once again thursday through sunday. the receptionist bragged about the chef, so we were excited... more

We came across the sign to the hotel along the road while taking the long way to Canada on a recent trip! The weather was amazing, really hot and sunny and we had the entire hotel to ourselves! Fantastic room and bathroom and a bit of deck outside to sit out in,that I have to say may get annoyingly close... more

The Freestone Inn is jewel set against the background of towering mountains and a blue lake in the beautiful Methow Valley. We came into the Freestone on one of the hottest days of the year after having ridden over the North Cascades on my motorcycle (a phenomenal visual experience on its own). We checked into our suite, a nicely appointed... more

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Freestone Inn. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were staying somewhere special. The Freestone Inn is slightly east of the National Cascades National Park 10 miles west of Winthrop. Where do I start? The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant is superb with friendly... more

My Mom and I came to the Freestone Inn for a few days of hiking in the cascades. We were absolutely amazed at the beauty surrounding this lodge. The view of the pond was fantastic, the view of the mountains was fantastic, the HOT TUB was fantastic. We had dinner 2 of the 3 nights we stayed and both times... more

I've been going to the Freestone Inn since 2001 when I did a big wedding there. (I'm a wedding planner). I've been taking my family for the past 5 years every summer. We had a horrible experience there last winter, but I understand they are under new managment, so we decided to give them another chance. We are sure glad... more

We stayed here memorial day weekend, found a good price through expedia. When we arrived was pleasantly greeted by front desk clerk, rooms were amazing ! Didn't eat at the restaurant, although I heard it had great food. The only downfall was the hot tub was not in service and when we all went to the pool at 6pm we... more

Thank you for your recent comments. We are glad that your stay was enjoyable and that you would recommend staying here. Again I must apologize for the misunderstanding about the pool and hot tub. I do not feel that I did an adequate job in explaining the circumstances as we spoke in the hallway. I was attending to another issue,...

We spent 2 nights at the Inn and absolutely loved it. The surrounding scenery and the property itself is gorgeous. Our room was very nicely appointed, and it was quite pleasant to sit on the deck in the sunshine overlooking the small lake. We ate at the restaurant both nights and found it to be one of the best restaurants... more

Was very impressed with the hotel and restaurant (I understand under new management...). Just had a wonderful stay at the Freestone, which is located in a absolutely gorgeous mountain setting (lake, hiking and skiing in winter). The lodge/dining room is cozy with a giant fireplace and view of a serene lake. Staff is professional/welcoming and the dining simply amazing! Thoroughly... more

Thank you for staying with us at the Freestone Inn. We are lucky to have Chef Suzanne and her staff create the tastes that are equal to the splendor of the local Methow Valley and surrounding Wilson Ranch. We hope to welcome you back again soon to our beautiful new home. Mike and Lisa
