We just returned from a 3 night stay at Anchorage Cottages. We stayed in cabin 10, with our three children and had lots of room. The cottage itself is nice and comfy, and we liked the back porch, from which you can take the trail to the beach (a 10-15 minute walk through trees and dunes). They had sand toys... More

The oven door has been fixed. The owners of Cottage 10 are very diligent about maintenance and having their appliances all in top running condition. The warmer door on the oven was removed when a new housekeeper was cleaning the oven. She did not re-install it correctly.. The matter has been attended to. More

This was a nice cozy accommodation. Love the 50's atmosphere! If you like the feel of the past this is the place! Sort of a mesh-mash of furnishings just like at G-Ma's lake cabin! Nice grass areas and picnic tables. Great trail to the beach thru the grass and trees. Awesome beach! Gas/small store across the street as well as... More

The Cottages truly are a home away from home. We have stayed here four times now over the last three years and haven't been able to find a single thing to complain or whine about. Each cottage is different, with its own unique character and ambiance. Most units have fireplaces and the wood is supplied free of charge. They all... More

The Anchorage Cottages are each owned by different people (kind of like condos), so it is best to look at the places online to see which one meets your needs. Because they are each individually owned that means the owners have probably stayed their and really thought about what would make the stay better. They also seem truly interested in... More

My husband and I have been staying in the Anchorage Cottages since 2007. We have stayed in cottage #1, #3 and #10. They are all very nice and have all the essentials for a comfortable stay for us; i.e, fully equipped kitchens, comfortable living rooms for TV watching or game playing, comfortable beds and very clean throughout. All of the... More

My husband and I spent 5 lovely days at The Anchorages. I made a mistake with our reservation and we arrived a day early. Our selected Cottage #1 was not available so we decided to stay in #10 for one night and then switch to the other unit the following day. The helpful staff offered to move our things from... More

BUT...do not stay in Cottage # 10. The fireplace makes the entire cottage stink. Yes. They are aware of it. No. They didn't mention it until we got there and I spoke to them about it. At the time, there were no other cottages left to sleep in. If you have any issues with breathing, or asthma, do not stay... More

I have refunded this guest for her stay in the unit. We offered her another cottage as soon as one became available. The cottage has been thoroughly cleaned. The chimney has been swept. There are new procedures in place to prevent the problem from reoccurring. Please do not dismiss cottage 10 as it is our largest unit and very comfortable. More

A last minute glitch in rental plans for our longer stay vacation home rental led to trying Anchorage Cottages for one night. One night, last minute stays can be really hard to find. We read a few reviews , decided to chance it and were very pleasantly surprised with our stay at Anchorage. Their web site was easy to use,... More

My husband & I stayed in Cottage #7 as it was the only one left there. It had 2 bedrooms with very clean and cozy beds, one of them had a mirror wall. The living room was nice with tv, futon, books, games, CDs. We only stayed for a night hence did not have time to experience all the niceties... More

We've stayed here for the last several years with our kids and grandkids and always plan to come back. A little bit of the old days of staying at the beach. Cottage are very clean and well-appointed. Full kitchens and nice, comfortable beds. A very friendly staff!
