Ok, the edgewater inn is older. you can tell its been weather/beach worn for years, this place was the closest to the beach without paying some huge amt. Its was great there was a bar/restaurant down the hall whenever we felt like eating. When I go on vacation I don't spend much time in my room I am out riding... more

The room was clean and warm, the sheets were soft, the TV worked, the towels were thick, and best of all, it was less than $100 a night. We could see and hear the ocean, the desk clerks were friendly, parking was abundant, and we were close to the main drag. All those people who wrote bitter reviews about how... more

March is not the month to visit Long Beach- summer might be a hoot, but I like Westport better(further North). Long Beach must be for Oyster addicts. In Westport you can buy say tuna cheap for sashimi. Room here rather expensive given the economy- almost $90, and the restaurant had just reopened for the season. We ended up eating at... more

My family (4) stayed here and booked two rooms. We were taking a vacation down the coast and booked weeks in advance, having never seen the place. If we'd have known, we would have stayed anywhere else. We checked in without problem and were given the keys (keys, not key cards). Our rooms were in the second building, closest to... more

we booked a room on the upper level with ocean view. Weekend rate was $77/night. When we opened the door to the room, it was disappointing. The room looked like a cheap motel. Very very basic with no charm. We opened the window for some air and there was no screen. We did leave the window cracked and I was... more

The Edgewater itself is nothing special. The rooms are only okay, but we experienced no problems. But the location of this place is what it is all about. This place has rooms with ocean views, has its own boardwalk (nice) to the beach, and fun things for the family to do all around it. Up the road you can ride... more

Stayed friday night, we were awoken around 5am to people slamming doors and childern screaming, also the wind was blowing and the gutter outside our window was loose and making a loud banging noise. Also this was a no smoking room and we could smell someone smoking a cigar, the noise from the bar was loud. We left our room... more

We arrived in town around dark and looked for a hotel for the night. Edgewater offered a 1 bedroom suite with an ocean view, so we took it. We would have been much better off driving through town and checking out some other hotels. This place was DIRTY! more

The Edgewater Inn Motel is an example of you get what you pay for. End of Dec 2006 we payed $77 for the "suite" room. They had not fixed the siding from the big wind storm and a piece banged against our room the first night until it finally fell off. We also walked into the room at 4:30 with... more
