My boyfriend and I stumbled upon the Chautauquah on groupon while planning a mini vacation from work. A $45 per night deal was hard to pass up, so we booked our room and set out for our trip. We stayed in room 331, and it had an astounding view of the ocean. Our room was tidy, had a king size... More

We stayed at this hotel for the first time February 28th-March 1st. With my husband, and our two small chilldren ( 2.5 yr old and 9 month old ) A deciding factor on staying here was A) The Price. We paid $109.65 for Room 218, which came with a queen bed, balcony, kitchenette ( fridge/freezer. stove top, sink, dishes, microwave,... More

Hello, this is Dave Erickson the manager of the Chautauqua Lodge. I am not certain why you were told we had no cribs. We certainly do and they work just fine, safe and clean. I am very sorry you had this experience but appreciate the feedback. It is the only way we can get better. Next time you come feel... More

Thanks Doug, this is music to my ears. We have been working very hard to catch up on maintenance and keeping all the rooms clean and functional. Thanks also for the kind words about the restaurant. I can honestly say I have never had a bad review of their food. We look forward to your next visit. Dave Erickson More

We have stayed at the Chautauquah many times over the years. It was built in the early 70s and went for many years with no upgrades. Around 25 years ago, it was converted to vacation condo status. During the past 2 years, it has gotten a breath of fresh air with new management and a new vision. Work has begun... More

Grandpa is right! Dogs AND families are welcome here. It makes us very happy here when extended families come and spend time together. I will be having the 3 for 2 midweek deals soon so keep an eye on the website, facebook, or emails for the announcement. We hope to see you soon Dave Erickson More

We enjoyed our stay in room 228. I loved the great view. The room was outdated but clean. Lady at the front desk gave us a 10 percent discount. Had fun clam digging. Wish it was closer to downtown shopping but we just drove into town. Just a short walk to the beach and Discovery Trail.

This was a last resort type of stay...we didn't plan at all spontaneous trip... found out it was opening of clamming season....so only place available in our price range. Fair at best ...needs updating. No wifi...no frills... no t oom service etc... the room is nothing to look at. Best part is that every room has a view of the... More

My husband and I have stayed here a couple of times the past couple of years both with kids and without. We just finished another great weekend razor clamming. We really enjoyed our stay. We have noticed that the rooms are all in the process of updating and for the price this place can't be beat. It was clean and... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights using a Groupon coupon. We arrived at the end of the season so the lodge was very quiet, as was the rest of Long Beach. However, a quiet few days was exactly what we wanted. The reception desk was very efficient and friendly, we were given a newly renovated room on... More

Just spent two nights here on a Groupon. It was $99.88 total which included tax for the two nights. Had a room w/king size bed on the 3rd floor from which you could see the ocean with only a stretch of beach grass & small hill/dune between you & ocean. This place is old & needs to be updated badly.... More

The beds were trash, we are now going to the chiropractor (which we never did before), to straighten out our backs. Those beds should have been thrown out years ago. And the floor, there are some areas where you think it is going to give out and you will go thru the room below. And the mold smell, masking it... More
