This hotel was recommended by the Pacific Salmon Charter company in Ilwaco (a nearby sport fishing port) . Special week day rates are offered to those who have a fishing charter scheduled. Weekend rates are standard. Rates are really quite reasonable especially for a beach community. The walking/biking path is only about 1 block from the hotel and the beach,... More

This 'hotel' is in really poor shape. Staff is friendly, rooms are somewhat clean but the whole property is in desperate need of repair and updating. The elevator has a terrible mildew smell, the stairwells have plywood stairs, the lobby is in shambles, the towels are like burlap, the beds are in poor shape, the fireplaces don't work, the decks... The lodge bills itself as the only oceanfront hotel in the area. Make no mistake, this property is not right on the beach. There is a path that leads to the beach but there is a scant view of the ocean from the room. The property itself is a bit away from the boardwalk and the shops and Long Beach... More

This use to be a great hotel now it is simply an over priced money pit! When I pay close to 200 dollars a night I expect my room to be clean and to have basic needs met at this hotel don't expect anything without paying extra. Maid service while you stay there for several days is 25 dollars extra... More

Simple but wonderful. Yes there is room for upgrades to make more appealing to the eye but They offer everything we needed. A comfy bed a amazing ocean view and nice showers. My room had a huge jetted tub so that was a nice treat. We will stay here again for sure. If you want WiFi, movies and electronic entertainment... More

This is a great little hotel. We stayed a weekend during the busy clamming season. I read the other reviews and it's true, this is not a new hotel. There is some wear and tear, and It wasn't the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. But for around $100 a night, an ocean view suite with a separate... More

Very friendly staff, flexible, accommodating. Not a five star hotel so I didn't expect a five star accommodation (just something to keep in mind to some of the comments below) Had a great time with great views, less than 5 minute walk to the beach, very relaxed about pets, very basic room but that's okay with me!

Elevators didn't work the first day. Room didn't get cleaned one day. Tv didn't work. Was told the manager was going to call and he never did! Asked 3 times to talk to him. The staff was very friendly and very apologetic. Our second stay here but will probably be our last.

The people are so kind, the atmosphere is like London. It's got a slow, easy, saltwater seeps in your bones kindof feel. If you want to get away from it all, This is the place. Kick off your shoes and relax by a (safe! enclosed!) fire place after your long car trip and let the kids lounge with t.v., have... More

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon the Chautauquah on groupon while planning a mini vacation from work. A $45 per night deal was hard to pass up, so we booked our room and set out for our trip. We stayed in room 331, and it had an astounding view of the ocean. Our room was tidy, had a king size... More
