I LOVED my little room 35 at Heron Inn for its' cleanliness and wonderfully comfortable bed and linens. I was greeted by someone who was not too knowledgable about my questions, but the next day was helped by a courteous, accomodating employee that more than made up for the day before that. One caveat...people don't get up too early in... more

The rooms are tasteful and very clean, but they are tiny, and the bathrooms lack anywhere to put toileterie bags, etc. The owner, George, is an amiable host, but the rest of the staff are not very friendly. Breakfast is basic continental and identical each day. don't expect the usual B&B breakfast that fills you up throughout your day. On... more

Think of it as a pleasant Inn, not a B & B, with small, well decorated rooms some of which have a nice rural view - flowers and fields if your room is on the back of the inn. There is an unrelated Inn next door. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed watching a DVD from the Inn’s collection... more

We were attracted to the Heron Inn because we wanted to stay at a Bed and Breakfast (or something slightly larger), not too far from home. We found the Inn to be decorated with the work of local artists, tastefully furnished, and immaculately clean. The complimentary gourmet breakfast was delicious, including fresh fruits, cheeses and smoked salmon. The owners went... more

My husband and I have gone to La Conner every spring for the last 5 years. We love going in March as we can see the beautiful fields of daffodils and not have the crowds that come during tulip season. We have stayed at the Heron for the past 4 years and really love it. The beds have been very... more

Martha & George are very attentive inn keepers. The inn has a european ambience-breakfast of smoked salmon , fruit, and croissants was lovely. Each afternoon we enjoyed Kir in the main fireside lounge. Martha supplied home baked cookies in the evening, We didn't avail ourselves of it, but there was a garden hot tub available. We were appraised of local restaurants,... more

I have loved coming to LA Conner over the years and especially enjoyed to lovely intimate relaxing Heron....but this visit was a little disappointing. The room was HOT (apparently an electrical problem) and really really small. My favourite room has been turned into a spa room so i had to stay under some rather bed noisy folk and next to... more

This is a very nice place in La Conner that has new owners. Our room was ready, even though we arrived at about 12:30 in the afternoon. The room (I think it was room 25) was very small. The backyard garden area was very pretty, we ended up eating a picnic lunch out there. In the afternoon, fresh cookies laid... more

We love this place. Like others, we stayed during the recent tulip festival. This place is always busy, and for good reason. Yes, the rooms are small. But you're not staying here for a huge room. The beds are excellent. Queen size with awesome sheets, duvet, and pillows. Each room has a TV and DVD player, and they provide DVDs... more

We stayed at the Heron Inn for two nights during the recent tulip festival. It was okay, but not the luxurious experience we were hoping for. We've stayed at other bnbs that were far more comfortable and special. We stayed in room 32 (one of the bigger rooms). The bed was placed by the window, getting nice light and a... more
