We are over 65 and had a little trouble with all the stairs. Room had very comfortable soft mattress and nice bathroom. All the rooms have been refurbished and have own bathrooms. We had a view of canal and were right across the street from calico cupboard. Sort of expensive but LOVED our breakfast and they have great pecan rolls... More

This is a small, older hotel which has been nicely updated. Our room was small, but we were spending most of our time shopping and exploring in LaConner. The room was very clean, and the furniture and decorations were quite nice. The bathroom was fairly large, and I loved theTHICK towels! Our room overlooked the courtyard which made for a... More

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Hotel Planter in La Conner. The building is definitely older and the room we stayed in was small but clean. The bed was great ad the bathroom was quite large. Next time I would request a room facing the courtyard as the front street was noisy early in the morning - when... More

The charming Hotel Planter is listed on the National Historic Register. Each of the 12 rooms are on the second floor along with the small lobby. Some rooms over look the street & the rest over look a lovely courtyard with cozy sitting areas. We booked a two bed room over looking the courtyard. There is not an elevator in... More

This is a good place to stay for a Skagit entry to the San Juan Islands. It is a historic hotel. The staff is very nice, helpful friendly. Only take a courtyard room. The rooms facing the street are noisey first thing in the morning. A little too under-restored for me. (Musty smell downstairs). Also, if you have trouble with... More

Spent two nights, July 18th & 19th, at the 2nd floor historic Hotel Planter in La Conner. Our room (# 4) was clean, comfortable and overlooked the main street. Nice big bathroom and awesome shower with lots of hot water. The hotel is in a great location, easy walking to all the sights, shops, wineries, restaurants. Free coffee is provided... More

Wanting a nice retreat for my husband's 60th birthday, we chose Hotel Planter in La Conner. What a lovely weekend!!! The hotel is a beautifully renovated old hotel, centrally located in the middle of town, with lovely rooms and a huge bathroom. The rooms are on the second floor, with a wide staircase and no elevator, which could be a... More

Visited La Conner this weekend, and spent a nice night at the Planter Hotel. We love eclectic, historic accomodations, and the Planter was lovely. Hotel is on the second floor, up the wide staircase above other businesses. Very clean, nicely decorated. Our room was over the garden, which is a really nice place to sip wine. Bed was comfortable, even... More

We called to book a room, and they said they had availability. We told them we had a baby, but we didn't need anything extra for him. They told us we could not stay at their hotel and to try another hotel in town. The said the reason was that their hotel is on the second floor. We told them... More

Your baby is beautiful! If you had been a guest in our Hotel you may be better able to understand why we do not accomodate children. The hotel is only 12 rooms and our culture is to provide a small intimate hotel for adults. It is natural for babies to cry. For guests looking for a get a way, it... More

Comfortable beds, quaint rooms, tea and coffee, in the heart of La Conner, right across the street from one of the best bakery- breakfasts in town, what more would you want. We like Room 6, corner room, so we can look onto the main street and can see the Rainbow Bridge and main street. Parking can be a bit tricky... More
