I spent 3 nights at the Carlton Inn, and I enjoyed my stay. It was very quiet and was situated in a secluded area so it was peaceful. Furthermore, there were many convenient restaurants and stores within walking distance such as Dennys, Pizza Hut, and Trader Joe's. I was worried because the reviews on Carlton Inn were poor, and I... More

I really, really wanted to like the Carlton Inn. Reviews on another website had praised the staff, the tidiness of the facility and the site on a bird sanctuary, and I thought these were all good reasons to give it a try, especially at a bargain rate. And it's true--the inn sits alongside a wetland which is apparently a bird... More

Hmm, I don't quite understand the bad reviews that Carlton Inn gets. Perhaps it was because my friend and I only stayed here for one night, and didn't encounter the problems that other travellers did. It wasn't half as gross as described in other reviews. I would say that it was average, and I didn't get an icky feeling about... More

Dear Solewalker, Thank you for your review and for staying at our hotel. I understand that it can be frustrating to find the Carlton Inn. There is one sign that points towards the Carlton Inn near the Bank of America. Unfortunately, the city of Kirkland will not allow us to post any other signs higher or more prominent. The best... I made a reservation here because there were no other rooms available in the area the weekend that I needed. I ended up paying for the room and not staying because it was so gross! (This isn't something I would tipically do but I just couldn't stay there)! The mattresses are the cream with blue stripes that are 20+ years... More

All guests have the option of seeing a room before they book a room or suite with our hotel. Cleanliness of our hotel and the rooms we offer to our guests take the highest priority. All of our rooms are thoroughly cleaned after guests have checked out of the room. The rooms and suites are also cleaned on a regular... More

I stayed here for three nights while on business because it was one of the few places available that was close enough to my meeting location. I arrived at midnight to a flickering neon "Carlton Inn" sign, which didn't bode well when juxtaposed with the "Yuppie Pawn Shop" right next door. The room's A/C was making such a loud rattling... If you read any positive reviews of this hotel, they were probably written by friends and family of the owners. No one in their right mind should stay here unless it is the last place in town, the homeless shelters included. This hotel is overpriced, everything is falling apart, the food is disgusting and they probably don't even clean the... More

They run this place like it's in a third world country. Their customer service is terrible; they even ration toilet paper. They make you wait for things that you need. The curtains are dirty. The carpeting is filthy. When we asked to vacuum it ourselves, the housekeeper told us that the vacuum machines don't work, and the management won't fix... More

This elegant hotel has a business club atmosphere, spacious and private, a contrast from the crowded feel of other hotels. Rooms are large, comfortable, and relatively sound-proof so you can get a peaceful night's rest even if the hotel is full. Friendly, courteous staff, well-maintained hotel, nice secure feeling. Good for both families as well as business travelers, and I... More

My husband, myself, and mother/father in-law traveled to Washington to visit our son and his family. This was on a Friday night. We spent three nights at this hotel. Checked in and put luggage in our rooms. We had two separate rooms. Then went to visit our son. We returned late to the hotel to find our room had not... More

When we arrived at our hotel, the clerk checked us in (myself, my husband and our 17-year-old). We went to our room to find only one queen sized bed, despite booking a room with 2 queen sized beds. The front desk person said it was not his fault and that Travelocity had booked the reservation even though there were not... More
