My husband and pets checked in to Kalama Inn with no hassle. We went to our room immediately. We did not notice any excess noises, just the norm of being beside a freeway and street.
I really appreciated the owners because we had one hairy dog and they were super nice about it. Our dog also got locked in the bathroom and the owner was willing to come to her rescue, but my husband got the door open before he had to apply his door jimmy trade.
We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay at the Inn again. The room was clean, cool, and had everything we needed for our stay. As for as the coffee pot etc. we have our own so I didn't have a problem here.
The prices are right for this size of town and Inn I think. As for as English goes, we were all on the same page, and what if they might lack a few skills here, you can always use patience and understanding and get about anything straightened out if you work at it hard enough.
