We picked this location mainly because of the stated pet free environment and stated minutes from the beach. We stayed here 4 days - ad very misleading. Husband highly allergic to pets even though it states no pets the owner has 2 dogs that were allowed to run all over inside. Even in the great room. we stayed in the... More

I would come back in a heartbeat. Best things: 1) Welcoming host, Marcy, one of the live-in caretakers, showed me around the lodge as soon as I arrived. She is a lovely, friendly person. 2) The lodge itself, with deep wrap-around porch (lots of seating) and great room with tall stone fireplace and raftered ceiling, is stunning in an authentic... The lodge in itself is beyond charming. Best sleep we ever had. Marcy was welcoming. One of the nights we were there, the whole town lost power and the lodge still had power due to a backup generator. So they're well prepared. We sat for most of the night by the fire playing chess and just enjoying the ambience. Great... More

We stayed at the Manitou Lodge for some quiet time after visiting family for Christmas. It was the perfect place for our stay! The hosts were very accommodating of our infant son and our dog. The room was very clean and had a cute, cozy feel to it. The location is perfect for exploring the beaches and surrounding forests. We... More

We chose Manitou Lodge to spend Christmas Eve so we could get away from holiday madness. We felt totally relaxed. Thaii and Marcy were super nice. The room was really cute and very clean. We live only a few hours away so we will definitely plan to come again. Loved Franklin, the resident canine. Overall, We were very pleased.

This is a very nice and cozy place in the woods. A perfect place to getaway from the city noise. The whole atmosphere is very relaxing. It is clean. The lobby is well furnished and felt like home. My husband and I enjoyed it so much. It is definitely in our list to go back again.

We were so happy to have chosen this place. We were alone or with one other couple the three days we stayed. Manitou is really such an island of peace with no TV, beautiful furnishings including lots of excellent Native American art, a large gas burning fireplace and lovely hosts. We had the smallest room in the place, right off... More

There aren't a lot of choices in the area, and if you want a very nice, well-cared for b&b, the Manitou Lodge B&B is it. We stayed in the main building and enjoyed the very large, well appointed space for lounging and reading. The rooms were more than adequate and extremely clean. The non-traditional b&b breakfast worked out great for... More

We stayed in the Eagle room, which is pet friendly. I absolutely loved our stay. The lodge itself is really beautiful and cozy. We were able to read in front of the fire and share a bottle of wine in total peace. The Eagle room is a room in a cottage across from the lodge. It had its own bathroom... More
