This is great and very busy campground in the Olympic National Park. It is very inexpensive compared to state campgrounds that are now very expensive due to the lack of funding from the state. But this place is federally funded and run by a concessionaire who does a good job. But you must reserve a spot during the busy season.... More

My friend and I were only there for a night. We brought a tent and enjoyed the space of the campground--every one has a picnic table and spot to park. We were row C and found it quiet, with a smooth ground cover for under the tent that made for comfortable sleeping in our bags. There were plenty of water... More

Amazing campground on the hill overlooking the beach. Lots of trees , birds, and access to the beach. The bathrooms had running water and a truck came around selling firewood. Great location for doing the west side of the park. We had a wonderful time.

First, this is one of only 2 Olympic Nat. Park campgrounds actually at the beach. South Beach campground, a couple of miles south, is a 'primitive' campsite, has no water, few campsites, and is even more difficult to get a site than Kalaloch. Mora, up the coast a bit, sits 2 miles off the beach. Getting a campsite at Kalaloch... More

This place is always busy, even in 'off peak' season, but there are lots of sites and you might get lucky and get an ocean-view from your camping spot. The sites themselves are TINY. Be forewarned about this - some of them can barely accommodate 1 medium-sized tent, but I guess people find a way to manage. In the end,... More

We try and make it to Kalaloch at least once a year. It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive from our home so we stay several days. The campground is located just above the beach on a bluff. It is sandwiched between the beach and highway 101 which can be quite noisy during the summer. There are limited beach side... More

We stayed here after Thanksgiving for a few days. We were lucky to get a campsite right on a low bluff looking out at the ocean, it was perfect. Easy steps down to beach and very interesting beach to walk on. It was a little more than we normally pay, more than likely due to the ocean. I'm sure in... More

Incredible sunset views of the ocean. Get there in the middle of the week if possible (Monday or Tues) and stay at least three nights, scoping out the best camp site and move into it when it comes open, then stay longer. Blackberry bushes ready to pick in late summer, early fall.

Stayed here for two nights during me and my boyfriends cross country trip. The most amazing setting. We both loved it so much, especially the beach. Our campsite was a 30 second walk to the beach. The beach was huge and so empty. It felt like you had your own private beach. We spent one afternoon just walking the beach... More

We've done a lot of camping in the Southwest and the Northwest, and this is by far our favorite spot. We stayed there two different times for a total of 4 nights. The first time was earlier in the summer (very busy season), and we didn't get one of the 'best' spots but we were still happy. It was dark,... More
