The good: Its a quaint and rustic lodge/cabins located right next to the ocean. We stayed in cabin 20. The layout is cozy but nice for 2-4 people. I loved the wood burning stove! Even though it was raining all day (2 inches!), the views were impressive. We donned rain gear and enjoyed the beach. We avoided "the logs of... More

We stayed at Kalaloch while on Spring Break. The cabins were perfect for the four of us. Our favorite was the wood stove which made for a very cozy feel. The cabin had a great ocean view and the small kitchen was perfect for making breakfast and dinner (we tend to do sack lunches). Bring a pair of slippers as... More

I haven't been out to the Lodge in years but it has definitely gotten an upgrade. The cabins are very clean and well appointed, they have thought of everything. Beds are comfy, linens are nice. They give you firewood to burn in your wood stove, cozy. The staff said the cabins and lodge recently had a makeover. The restaurant at... More

We stayed in a cabin, our two small boys along with us. The beach was perfect for hiking and small adventures among the washed up timbers. The on-site grocery has enough to get you started for meals and beverages for the cabin. We did breakfast in the cabin but went to the lodge restaurant for dinner. The food was very... More

Great location. Close to great hikes and beaches. cabins are cozy. Tide pools at Beach 4 are amazing. Restaurant is nice, trying to source locally great views of the ocean from the tables. Enjoyed dinner, Breakfast was only fair, omelets overdone.

Enjoyed the rustic cabins with no TV or telephones - easy to relax. We sat on our patio with a glass of wine watching and listening to the ocean after a full day of hiking. The restaurant is pricey but very good. We opted for the 2 bedroom with living room and fireplace. The 4 adults in our group really... More

Kalaloch is a unique place on the wild coast. In the summer, it is nice to camp. In the winter, it's nice to have a warm bed to come back to. The lodge was very comfortable and nobody was using the lounge area so we had a big place to spread out and play Scrabble. The restaurant was nice and... More

Awesome escape, I felt totally recharged after just 3 days! Stayed at cabin 15 just by the beach and it was clean, log cabin style, warm and cozy with a fireplace. Great warm water and pressure in the shower, private patio and beautiful view!

The food is fabulous...try the Dungeness crab cakes. I loved the local organic salad and enjoyed the very good chowder. Certified Green Restaurant! Didn't stay overnight but will on next trip to Olympics. Don't miss the giant trees in this area - they are stunning. The friendly folks at the lodge will happily answer questions and direct you to things... More
