My husband and I stayed here for one night just after Christmas. We got a 'Stormwatcher Special' for $169, which included dinner for two. The cabins are cozy and rustic, and you really can't beat the location for a romantic getaway for 2. However, the dinner for 2 was horrible! The steak was rough, the halibut was a gross mass-produced... more

The dust and filth in the air was horrible. I had trouble breathing and coughed all night. I wiped one of the walls with a paper towel to see what would happen and the towel became filthy. We had a horrible night trying to sleep and left as soon as we could in the am. I had called before we... more

My wife and I visited Kalaloch Lodge in the Month of November. We were in Washington visiting some family and wanted to get out and see the wonderful Olympic National Park and Forest. All I can say is WOW. You can see the pictures online but expierencing this wonderful park is something everyone should do. We were very lucky because... more

The things we liked about Kalaloch Lodge were its location (overlooking the sea, isolated and within easy drive of the National Park); the great out-of-season price ($110 at the end of October 2009); the helpful staff; and the architecture of the main lodge. We were originally booked into a cabin with a fireplace, but as it was set back and... more

When we booked into the last available room in the lodge on Sept. 28 we were warned that it adjoined the kitchen, so we could expect some kitchen noise. What we got instead was a disturbing confrontation with four raccoons outside the door, which happens to be a few feet from a breezeway to what sounded like the pantry area.... more

For those thinking about staying at Kalaloch Lodge and reviewing posts, take a look at the people posting really positive things. My guess is that the majority of them are workers (write few posts, live in Port Angeles). The thing about Kalaloch is that the cabins are run down and the service is not up to par. My husband and... more

I guess I can understand the range of reviews that Kalaloch gets, but we had a wonderful time staying in a cabin that was across from the bluff cabins. We actually had a great view of the waves, as our main window looked right between the two cabins across the street- it was nice, plus we got all the sound... more

We just returned from a 7-day road trip to the Olympic National Park and Kalaloch Lodge was our first stop. Although the setting is absolutely gorgeous, it would help to know prior to booking here that the prices seem to be based more on the location of the Lodge than the quality of the accommodations, which anywhere else would probably... more
