My wife and I stayed for a couple nights. Stay was very pleasant and comfortable, thanks to Carl and Sue. Breakfast was great each day, as was our room, which was very clean and quiet. Eastsound is nearby, as is the state park and its attractions. This is a great BnB we will recommend to friends.

My wife and I stayed here for our one-year wedding anniversary and it was lovely! We made the reservation probably two days before our stay and Carl and Sue were so accommodating. They helped us find dinner locations as well. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, our bathroom was large enough, there was a calming pond we could see... More

The building is surrounded by a lily-covered pond and a Japanese garden with many trees. Hot tub with shoji screen open to the pond, spacious shower, excellent bed, delicious food. The only reason it was not perfect for us was the polished professionalism of the hosts (after 18 years, perhaps seeing people come and go gets a bit old?) and... More

Carl and Sue are wonderful hosts and our short one night respite couldn't have been more relaxing. After a day of hiking in Moran State Park, which is conveniently located a few miles from their Inn, we came back to a refreshing carafe of cucumber water. We sat on the deck watching the birds and squirrels play at the feeder.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to Otter Pond B & B. The innkeepers, Carl and Sue, went out of their way to make us feel at home. The multi course breakfast was creative and delicious and an experience in itself. The accommodations were excellent and comfortable with a lovely view of the pond which provided great bird watching. Carl... More

We can not say enough wonderful things about our stay at Otters Pond Bed and Breakfast. We stayed 2 nights in the Swan room in early August. Sue and Carl were incredibly welcoming, even helped us with dinner reservations when we got stuck at the ferry terminal much longer than we planned. They were very informative about the different offerings... More

We had a wonderful three days/two nights on Orcas Island, and Sue and Carl played a strong role in our enjoyment and exploration. They have created a B&B atmosphere which exudes comfort, caring, and calm. The breakfasts are fabulous - healthy and hearty as well as exotic - and set us up with energy for a busy day. We were... Couldn't seem to have fun. We felt like we were expected to whisper. The place is for folks who like a formal atmosphere i guess. Oh,and coffee not until 7:00 am...really??? I am an early riser...even on vacation. What the heck. We did meet very nice couples from Seattle and Philadelphia who were staying at Otter Pond also.

Hello Brian and others too who may be surprised at the severity of the review score based on not receiving coffee before 7 am. Here's what we really do: During our guest orientation we say that breakfast is served at 9 am and coffee is available by 7 am. We advise that coffee is available earlier if desired and I... More

My husband and I were celebrating our 25th Anniversary and decided to travel from Florida to Orcas Island. We were more than delighted that we booked our stay at Otters Pond Bed & Breakfast. The owners Carl and Sue were more than gracious. The home is immaculate, inviting and in the perfect location. The setting is peaceful and elegant. The... More

My wife and I travelled from Canada for our first visit to Orcas Island. I am an artist and was there to paint. We needed a facility at which to stay for 11 days and found the most excellent place at Otters Pond with Sue and Carl. The facility is top dog, the breakfasts (absolutely fabulous) which start at nine... More
