Kangaroo House had something to offer for every member of our family. We stayed in the Flicker Suite, which offers a separate sitting/tv room. The house and grounds are utterly charming and seductive, but play second-fiddle to the innkeepers themselves. Beyond their culinary skills--which move breakfast from a meal to an event, they are hospitable to a fault and thoroughly... More

The Kagaroo House with its charming hosts Pete and Hellen Allen, is a must stay B & B when you visit Orcas Island. The Craftsman style house, extensive garden, and fabulous breakfast are not to be forgotten. Be sure to sample their homemade whole grain cereal. Yes, the Kangaroo House is leaps and bounds ahead of any other. Dave &... More

My husband and I stayed at the Kangaroo House for two nights, back in July of 1998 (unfortunately this web site only allows me to go back as far as 1999). Everything about it was perfect: the owners, the setting, the ambiance, the breakfasts....I recall having to share a bathroom, but it was worth it to stay at such a... More

The Kangaroo House is an enchanted B&B on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. The house is decorated to perfection with an Australian magic. The host and hostess are genuine, kind and so thoughtful in welcoming their guests. They pamper their guests with a breakfast so delicious and the presentation is unbelievable. They say the guests that return are... More

My friend and I recently stayed at the Kangaroo House on Orcas Island in the San Juans, in the Puget Sound of the State of Washington. The service was fantastic; we truly felt pampered. The views were beautiful, especially of the garden. The almost-century-old house is elegant and charming. We stayed in the very early springtime when the weather was... More

We have stayed at many Bed and Breakfasts establishments over the years. After staying here, 7 years ago, there is no other that compares. The InnKeepers, Peter and Helen always create an atmosphere of complete welcomeness. It is peaceful, beautiful, quiet and serves the very best breakfast of any others I have stayed at. The beds are very comfy, the bathrooms... More

What a perfect place to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We loved the house, the food, and the warmth. But what was most special was the relaxed, unhurried atmosphere where we could relax, share a glass of wine with other guests, and Peter, too. There was always laughter, wisdom, and some serious conversation. Peter & Helen make Kangaroo House Special.

A capitivating B&B with the most knowledgeable hosts you could ask for. Truely an experience worth repeating. A breakfast presented with flare that was absolutely an epicurian delight. My taste buds yearn for more treatment like this. Yes, in addition to the skills of a master chef these folks are friendly. They exude a pride which shows through in maintaining... More

The Kangaroo House is like a little paradise on earth! The room, the breakfast, the garden - everything is special and makes you feel special. This is the perfect place to relax and de-stress from the city! Too bad that Kangaroo House isn't in Europe, otherwise I would come here often.

GO THERE! all the other reviews are 100% accurate. I was hesitant taking the advise of an online service... I mean how are you to know if the owners of the business aren't writing the review?? WELL I put that fear aside and chose the Kangaroo house... from the moment I drove up my girlfriend and I were more than... More
