Jill and Charles have created the best, homiest, and most comfortable B&B I've ever been in. I've stayed in 3 different rooms on different occasions and they are all wonderfully appointed, light, and everything one needs is there - an more! The breakfasts served are worthy of a 5 star restaurant, and Jill and Charles will accommodate any dietary need... More

My fiancé and I visited The Kangaroo House for Memorial Day weekend and my birthday celebration. We stayed for two nights in the The Chickadee. We had a fantastic experience. The hosts, Jill and Charles were incredibly friendly and warm. Breakfast was delicious, we were so impressed. I absolutely loved sitting in their bright, sunny dining room eating breakfast while... There is nothing wrong with this B&B but there is also nothing outstanding. The room we stayed in , the chick a dee, was very small, over decorated and dark. At $170. It seemed over priced. The host was welcoming and friendly. He was more than happy to accommodate our special food needs at breakfast. Breakfast was good but the... More

I was very sorry to see that this lovely, intelligent couple did not enjoy their brief stay more. I liked them, knew they had come to visit family on Orcas and really wanted to please them. With our all-organic breakfast, we try to delight all our guests with delicious dishes they might not have had before. The baked migas dish... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in early April 2015. Charles and Jill are wonderful hosts and gourmet cooks - our breakfasts were locally sourced and fantastic! The historic house is lovely with fireplace, public rooms, unique bedrooms, porches and gardens. This is really a special place, tucked in a gorgeous environment and just a short walk... More

We have stayed here twice now and it's been amazing both times. Charles and Jill are incredible hosts and make amazing meals. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the house is gorgeous. You can't really ask for more. If you haven't stayed here you're really missing out!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kangaroo House. Charles and Jill are fantastic hosts, and made us feel welcome and at home. We enjoyed the good conversation with them and other guests in the living room in the evening, and their multi-course breakfast was delicious and filling. We were in the Goldfinch room… it was clean, comfortable, and tastefully... More

I typically do not give 5-star reviews on any place because there is typically always something that can be improved upon, however, Charles has created what I would consider to be a perfect bed and breakfast. I researched every place to stay on Orcas Island before booking our stay at the Kangaroo House and we couldn't be happier with our... More

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed very nice accommodations, wonderful breakfasts, and Charles and Jill are simply wonderful hosts. They were extremely helpful with restaurant choices and reservations, coordinating with the Ferry, and just general info on things to do in the area. The house is centrally located on Orcas for access to either the eastern or western lobes of... More

After months of planning and research our road trip to Orcas Island over Labor day weekend was a resounding success largely because of our delightful stay at Kangaroo House Bed and Breakfast. The Steller's Jay Suite provided was spacious and plush and was the perfect room for 3 adult friends. Each morning started out with a delicious, well thought out... More

Great hosts, great accommodations, great breakfasts, great central location, great island to visit and explore, and great weather - what more could you want? Staying at Kangaroo House with Jill & Charles is really more like staying with old friends. But these "old friends" are great cooks, live in a fascinating home in a vibrant community, are very attentive and... More
