We rented Screech Owl cottage for 2 days in early July for 4 people. My parents who were visiting and 2 of us. What a great experience we had from the time we arrived. We got checked in relatively quickly after we arrived on time. This cottage is not on the waterfront but I liked it as it accommodates 4... More

The Salish Seaside Escapes has "themed" cabin rentals. My wife and I stay in the Eagle's Nest. Cabin for two, include a nice view of the San Juan. The kitchenette was a perfect size and we made dinner while we stayed. The cabin had everything we need. Management is onsite, very nice and actually provided us the ins and outs... More

Eagle's Nest is a wonderful, artistic, secluded getaway. We loved being able to sit in the bed or hot tub and watch the ocean and passing eagles. At the same time, the expansive deck with hot tub and tables and chairs invited us out and made us feel more connected to the outdoors. We loved the small kitchen and being... More

Shabby Chic accomodations. The cabins have full kitchen which is great rather than going out to eat everyday. Only 10 minutes from Eastsound which is the only town with boutiques, galleries, great restaurants, and a food co-op. Best part is each cabin has private patio, 6 person hot tub, gas grill, and spectacular view of the Salush Sea and the... More

Great place to get away from it all. This was a surprise trip for my husband's birthday- destination, lodging, and activities unknown! What a surprise when we arrived and saw our cottage "Heron Cove"! The unique style and architecture kept us "oohing and aahing" over our 3 day visit! The hot tub was very private, and you couldn't ask for... More

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Heron Cove. It is one of our favorite cottages too. It was designed and built by renowned architect James Hubbell and is filled with his artistic flair. What a lovely gift to give your husband. We hope you will indeed come again to visit. We look forward to seeing you both.... More

The Salish was predictably quirky, eccentric, fascinating, visually-stimulating yet relaxing, and though it was what we expected, it managed to exceed expectations in every aspect. After 13,000 miles of road tripping this summer, in looking back the Salish was hands down our favorite stop. We spent two days with 8 family members in the Salmon Shoals cottage. Super economical to... More

We had a large group staying at Seal Lodge and it was really pretty good. This "cabin" has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. So it sleeps at least 6, up to 8 if you use the sofa bed. Unfortunately, the dining room table doesn't fit this big of a group, so we always had some people inside and some outside.... More

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us at Seal Point cottage. The dining room table has built-in extensions that pull out, making it into a very large table. But these extensions are so well built into the table that they're easy to miss. We apologize for the "spa" feature of the shower not working, but the "spa" is... More

From the first greeting by Thane through the entire visit, we felt relaxed and at home. We stayed in the "Orca Watch" unit. Very nautically themed private cottage with a beautiful water view from the dining table and the private hot tub on the deck. We had to look past the two deer one morning to see the water. They... First I am an East Coast guy so this was my first time to the West Coast yet it was decided by a group of my friends that Orcas Island would be a perfect retreat. We decided on the North Shore Retreat. I was truly touched by an amazing grace. We stated in a wonderful house away from the other... More

The short story: You won't find a better place, location, and price on Orcas Island. (by the way they recently changed their name to salish seaside escapes and you should check groupon and living social, they frequently have deals). This is one of the few places where you have public access to sunsets, views of Mt. Baker and the coastal... More
