The highlight was the history of the OLD ROSARIO RESORT, still physically intact, with the lovely old standard Hotel (mansion) building. It was downhill from there. The staff was nice enough, and helpful, although the serving staff in both dining rooms was meager, and overscheduled. My boyfriend and I spent one night at Rosario for a wedding. The grounds were gorgeous, the wedding was spectacular, and we had a great time. With that said, The Rosario Resort is less luxury than a Motel 6, I have no idea where they get the photos from for their website but my room wasn’t anything near what they... more

I went the the resort expecting old world charm and a relaxing place to stay at the island. IT WAS NOT EITHER RELAXING OR CHARMING. The food at the main lodge was OK. The pool was dirty and unkept. The first room they gave us was soaked in cigarette smoke, so we had to request another room outside the lodge... more
