Having never been to Rosario Resorts I decided to plan a trip with my 2 sisters and our husbands for 2015 New Years Eve. Here are a few tips for anyone going in the future. If you can go the day before as the ferries are limited, we arrived 1 1/2 hours early and still missed out on the 11:20... More

A great deal, at least in the off season. Rooms are very nice and have marvelous views of the eerily quiet East Sound of Orcas Island. Staff in the main building are friendly and professional. This is a terrific place to stay if you want to unplug. If not, you may find yourself quickly bored.

We got a room special from the Rosario website for a winter stay. The resort is an eclectic fusion of things that have been upgraded, and things that have not. All the linens and amenities were perfect, but some of the dates features of our room seemed tired. We took our toddler with us, and I'm happy to report that... More

We stayed in a bayside king which was very nice and the bed was updated and very comfortable. The bathtub/shower area was very clean, however, the shower nozzle was outdated but that was really no problem. There is a small patio with a table and 2 chairs which offers spectacular views of the bay. The restaurant offers excellent breakfast, lunch... More

We came here in November for our anniversary. The hotel was very accommodating, they helped us find a sitter and they helped book is a massage in the same time frame!! Although when we arrived our taxi driver said he would wait in case we were on the hill, of course we were. He dropped us off with all of... More

Pros- great view of bay with private deck, decent master bedroom (suite), nice fireplace. A few modern furnishings- dinner table, couch, easy chair, queen size bed. Cons- dorm room feel complete with budget light fixtures, an oven from 1980, linoleum flooring in kitchen, a sink that you may find in a camper, outdated budget bathrooms

Dear Cullen S, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your room at Rosario. I am glad you enjoyed the spectacular waterfront setting and views of the Harborside Hearth Suite. This room rents for $159 in the off-season, and even lower when you are on our Spa Package. The bathrooms and kitchens in these units are... More

My husband and I are in Love with this resort. We stayed in a double queen room with a balcony overlooking the water. For dinner we ate at the restaurant inside the Mansion and that too was right by the water. If you are looking for a peaceful romantic getaway, this place is it.

If you are looking for a quiet (especially off-season) resort to relax with beautiful vistas in the San Juans, seriously consider Rosario. While the resort had gotten a bit tired, the new owners are moving deliberately to upgrade and rebuild. We stayed 3 nights in the Bayside King, which is basic & clean but without a lot of frills ---... More

We loved our late August visit to Rosario Resort and, after visiting most of the other places in the San Juan islands that we’d considered based on TripAdvisor reviews, were very, very glad we chose it. First – let me say there is nothing to get a vacation off on the right foot than flying directly into your resort by... More

Took my wife here for our anniversary....and did I do well! We simply love the San Juans, and Orcas Island would be our favorite, home of the Rosario Resort and Spa, Cascade Lake, Mt Constitution and Big Bertha (an ancient fir tree). Whether by air, boat or ferry, this is definitely one of the best resorts in the Northwest in... More
