Nice location off the highway. Simple, very clean, all the necessary amenities. Not luxurious but perfectly fine for our one-night stay. Continental breakfast limited with muffins, juice and coffee. Overall a good value for the price.

My wife and I stayed at the Nordlig Motel on our way back to Vancouver BC from a visit to Elk Mountain Hotel, in Wyoming. We first stayed there a year ago, and were impressed, and so we chose to return again, this year, and were not disappointed. The Nordlig Hotel is a well-run establishment with very clean rooms and... The motel was clean and reasonably priced. The staff was very helpful in providing information about restaurants in town. The motel does not have all of the amenities you would find at a typical motel these days, but it has the important ones, such as free wi-fi, TV, refrigerator, cleanliness, great towels, and the price is very reasonable for what... A really superb motel, very clean, very comfortable and in a good setting, well worth travelling out of your way to stay there. A shame we only had one night. Extremely reasonable rate which just adds to it all. The Nordlig deserves to do well many thanks.

We booked this motel to attend a wedding in the area. Owner very nice and the morning muffins were excellent. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice garden area to eat outside. Walking distance to town. I would stay here again.

The second time I have stayed here this year. Always a pleasure to see an older property cared for in the careful fashion as this one is. Very clean units. Quiet location. Wonderful owners that do all the staffing. Come stay here when you ski, hunt, fish or just traveling through. You will not be sorry.

Expecting a Hilton quality experience that you get in Seattle from a rural, small, family owned motel in a town of 2,500 people is a bit pretentious. Yes, the building is old, and the AC units are 70's throwbacks. But the facility is cared for and nicely manicured. You can tell the owners are taking pride in the place and... More

stayed here one night passing through the area. Small hotel, somewhat old but tidy and clean. It is about a block off the main road in a quiet setting. There is a nice small park about a block away. The room was small but clean. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom and shower were very small. AC worked ok and kept... More

Stayed at the Nordlig Motel while on business in Chewelah. Although in late winter, I could tell the grounds and facility is well-maintained and a good choice for year-round accommodations. The room meets the need although the bathroom facilities are very small. Another reviewer indicated that the shower was small - absolutely true... but how much time are you planning... More

We stayed one night in Chewelah in late summer, and found the Nordlig Motel simply wonderful. The owners are lovely, business-like and clear. Our room was very comfortable, though not large, but plenty for the amount of time we were there. I liked the approach to in-room coffee -- a water kettle and instant, how refreshing is that!? Breakfast was... More
