We have been going there for over 30 years. When family owned it was great. When A corporation took over it went down hill. They don't care about family. Took out childrens play things.Raised the prices and have no fixing. Our group of around 100 have pulled out because they are not putting money in to make the place safe. more

Our room at Darnell’s was not worth the rate charged ($285/night). The bedroom was small with no pictures on the wall, a tiny cracked window (2’x1’), with ramshackle blinds that did not screen for privacy when window was cracked open. We were happy with this place, the room wasn't very big though which was perfectly fine for the 1 night we were there, however if we were there for a week not sure we could have found room to put all our stuff!! However it was a great price, good location and VERY clean... I would definately stay here again! more

We planned on staying at Darnell's lake resort for 2 days and them move on to Stekekin. Upon our arrival we were assigned to our 'beach level' room. Couldn't get into Campbells..so booked Darnells..really the only other choice you have for a family style resort on Lake Chelan. While they are very strict in terms of check in and check out..the facilities are wonderful. We walked through Campbells..maybe the rooms are nicer but the facilities at Darnells are better.
