McMenamins Olympic is just a blast from the past. It is as it was 100+ years ago. Well worth a visit for a nibble and sip. The billiard room magic with old score wires and antique lighting. The toilets are original as is the bar. You can take you food into the theatre where the seating is random seating.

One thing about McMenamins lodging, each one is unique. That is part of the flavor and the draw. This one has more of a night scene downstairs and also a lot more of the locals haunts. The rooms were smaller, but very clean, as were the bathrooms. The call it European style, but it was just as private as could... More

I love the Oly Club. Cheap rooms and great atmosphere. It's an excellent place to stop for the night on long drives. Absolutely stay here. The restaurant is great too. They have a movie theater, pool, and shuffleboard.

A trip in time-- 90 minutes to get here from Seattle-- or take the train. In the heart I of a historical downtown that has lots of hidden treasures. Good deals on food during happy hour and movies are free with a room. Great for an escape from Seattle. Not for light sleepers-- but can depend on the crowd and... More

I haven't been to this restaurant in many years but my daughter and I were down town and she wants a good hamburger and it was the closest place. I have to admit that I wasn't really impressed with the burgers the first time we ate there, but this time the food was excellent. The changed their menu to smaller... More

McMenamins has done it again Fixed up an historical establishment with their trademark whimsy. We stayed in a room with bunk beds, and toilet/shower down the hall. The room was simple, but had everything we needed. Lots of history. Well worth a visit. The train station is right across the street, but the sounds did not bother us.

Great bar, good food and service with free movies. Train is loud in back, bring ambien or use ear plugs provided by hotel. Great restaurants on quaint street out front. Pool tables and warm fire place during winter. Showers are clean but shared but that is expected in this type of hotel prprovided

This overnight stay followed a social event that I attended in Chehalis earlier in the day. This, being an older hotel lacking the amenities that I’m used to, offered a new and fun way of lodging for me! The only room that they had available that day was a bunk bed room, certainly not even something that I would have... More

We made a Friday night getaway on the train from Portland to Centraila, then walked across the street to the hotel. It was a fun trip and we'll do it again, great food. Beautiful old bar, so much wood and glass.

Great location walking around down town area. The rooms have central air-can't control individually. No TV in the rooms. Sink in the rooms, shared bathroom down the hallways. Beds are fairly comfortable. There are ear plugs in the rooms for noise that goes by from the train. Restaurant is very good, beers too! Free movies when you stay in the... More
