A unique hotel, with old style amenities like bathrooms down the hall, but sinks in the rooms. The movie theater cannon be equaled! Comfy couches and chairs, free admission with stay, and you can order food and alcohol while you watch the movies! The restaurant and bar have great food! Just a fun place to stay if you want something... More

We drove down from Seattle for the night for our 10th anniversary. We booked the Prohibition Package with the Romance package added. Our check in was smooth and we were told how are package worked. Basically you charge everything to your room and what doesn't apply to the $40 night food voucher and $20 breakfast voucher you pay when checking... More

I really admire McMenamins for taking on this project. They have faithfully restored a turn-of-the-century railroad hotel, and haven't dumbed it down with ensuite bathrooms or any other modern niceties. The Olympic Club bar downstairs is also an historic treasure. Unfortunately, this is a terrible place to sleep. The trains go by all night long, and blast their horns with... More

This place is a real gem and a must visit if you are in Centralia. Fantastic old style bar and dining with beautiful antique fittings. Lots of pool tables and two shuffleboard tables (which are in great condition). With so much history, it feels like you are stepping back in time. Do yourself a favour and stop in.

this hotel, and all the other Mcmenamins properties are a great place to go for a fun, romantic, and relaxing weekend. it's downtown location makes walking around easy, plus has a amtrack station next door. the food is great and you can watch first run movies, on a couch with your favorite beverage in hand. the rooms are fully restored... I stayed at the Olympic on a business trip recently. It's pretty simple as a hotel, but the character of the great bar, theater and restaurant downstairs make it really special and quite nice. My room came with 2 beer flights and a growler for under $100 for the night. The eggs benedict for breakfast were awesome. The room itself... More

Adorable, fair value. If you're a light sleeper it's not the place for you - you might hear the movies downstairs, the other guests, or the trains (I didn't notice trains unless I was awake though). If sound doesn't bug you (and you don't mind public bathing facilities), you'll like it. It's clean and staff is friendly. Cons: no deadbolts... More

The ultimate in a quickie, overnight, get-out-of-Dodge escape, complete with trains, food & beverage, a movie theater and pool room with some history thrown into the mix. Take the Amtrak Cascades line to Centralia, WA, cross the street and you're walking into the Olympic Club, a 100+ year old former men's club, speak-easy, gambling emporium, etc. that was the center... A surprise overnight stay provided by our son on our travel from Seatac to Portland gave us the unique opportunity of living back in the early 1900's. Descriptions on the walls gave us much information on earlier times which was good as there are no room TV's. What is provided are ear plugs as the hotel is situated next to... More

Not only is history kept alive here for our modern day pleasure but the staff seems to love doing what they do! For one very reasonable price, we had lodging for one night, $40 credit towards a delicious dinner, free pool and shuffleboard, free movie and a $20 credit towards the next morning breakfast! Well worth a trip: good food,... More
