Great location walking around down town area. The rooms have central air-can't control individually. No TV in the rooms. Sink in the rooms, shared bathroom down the hallways. Beds are fairly comfortable. There are ear plugs in the rooms for noise that goes by from the train. Restaurant is very good, beers too! Free movies when you stay in the... More

Natalie and I stayed at the Olympic Club Hotel and Theatre in Centralia Washington during a road trip in August. The hotel is in an old and restored building right across the street from the Amtrak depot. The rooms are small and old, and the bathrooms are shared, European style. But this is in keeping with the hotel's character. Our... More

My wife and I spent a weekend at the Olympic Club Hotel and had a great time. Our room was plain but charming nonetheless. No en suite, bathroom is down the hall. It worked out fine to share the bath, but the hotel was not that full when we were there. I'm not a fan of shared bath facilities, but... More

It's complicated to review this hotel because there are a lot of great things about it but it's not a normal hotel. The bad: shared bathrooms, thin walls, and a train running through town that sounds its horn day and night. Like the wonderful Congress Hotel in Tucson, you should accept ear plugs from any hotel that's offering them. The... More

What a wonderful trip. We stayed here after climbing Mt St Helen's and enjoyed a lovely dinner while watching a movie. We stayed in the hotel which was previously a gentleman 'so resort. So much is from the original 'resort' it was just a unique place to stay and dine. The food was unbelievable. Highly recommend I'd you're in the... More

Felt like I took a step back 100 years. The rooms felt authentic to the era the hotel was built. Had a room over the cinema, and was distracted by the noise; however, everything was quiet after 10:30 p.m. Great food and fun billards room. Also enjoyed the many antique shops located near the hotel.

A unique hotel, with old style amenities like bathrooms down the hall, but sinks in the rooms. The movie theater cannon be equaled! Comfy couches and chairs, free admission with stay, and you can order food and alcohol while you watch the movies! The restaurant and bar have great food! Just a fun place to stay if you want something... More

We drove down from Seattle for the night for our 10th anniversary. We booked the Prohibition Package with the Romance package added. Our check in was smooth and we were told how are package worked. Basically you charge everything to your room and what doesn't apply to the $40 night food voucher and $20 breakfast voucher you pay when checking... More

I really admire McMenamins for taking on this project. They have faithfully restored a turn-of-the-century railroad hotel, and haven't dumbed it down with ensuite bathrooms or any other modern niceties. The Olympic Club bar downstairs is also an historic treasure. Unfortunately, this is a terrible place to sleep. The trains go by all night long, and blast their horns with... More

This place is a real gem and a must visit if you are in Centralia. Fantastic old style bar and dining with beautiful antique fittings. Lots of pool tables and two shuffleboard tables (which are in great condition). With so much history, it feels like you are stepping back in time. Do yourself a favour and stop in.
