I am someone that loves big adventures and needs to get far away from home for them, and the Camas Hotel is exactly what I needed. My boyfriend and I both had rough mornings and we were just going to go to Sauvie Island to relax and read and watch the river, but he wanted to do something more for... More

The Camas Hotel is not the place I remember as a kid in Camas 60 years ago. It is now a beautiful and classic b&b with everything you could want in atmosphere and amenities, friendly staff and good breakfast. Downtown Camas was a pleasant surprise too. And pet friendly. A necessity. Will definitely stay there if in the area again.

Quaint... rustic... lovely... BUT totally impractical for a road weary traveller! No parking garage... outdoor parking lot or on-street parking. No elevator... it's going to be a 'bag drag' Small rooms... some shared bathrooms. A/C unit was intermittent. PAPER THIN WALLS! You hear EVERYTHING!! All that being said... if you want a quaint get-away, go for it! The continental breakfast... More

We are very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay as much you had hoped. I would like to explain that while our downtown location is great for strolling and visiting local shops, restaurants, tap rooms, cocktail lounges and the movie theater, there is simply no room for a garage on the main street. However we are always happy to... More

If you always want to stay in a full service business hotel, this place is not for you. If you enjoy a change in scenary, as well as a unique experience, then the Camas Hotel is for you. It's almost like a trip back in time. You drive down a historic, smal-town downtown with numerous eateries, antique shops, and art... More

My friend and I were looking for a cheap option to stay in Portland. We stumbled upon this hotel while searching for something affordable and we couldn't have had a better experience. The rooms were clean and updated. We stayed in a room without a bathroom, but there was a great sink and mirror in the room. The hallway bathrooms... More

What a hidden gem! I had a wonderful 2 night stay here and I'd highly recommend it. The staff was terrific, welcoming and helpful. I had the room with shared bath that was perfect. Room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The parking was not a problem at all. If you park in the free lot a block away, that... More

My wife and I chose this hotel based on the Tripadvisor ratings, but were a little disappointed. The hotel is old, so expect that the condition of the rooms is a little worn. The air conditioner in room 3 made so much noise we were not be able to sleep. They do have wi-fi and a complimentary continental breakfast and... More

Very quaint hotel with the most comfortable beds imaginable! Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The hotel itself was very quiet. You could hear the nightlife in town with the windows open but it settled down fairly early. Not all rooms are air conditioned but they do supply a fan. They offered a nice breakfast area with a good selection... More

Great historic hotel, locally owned, and in a great location. I only had to walk 1/2 block to find a great restaurant and brewery. This hotel is located in the middle of the historic downtown of Camas, which is a great place to walk around, eat, drink, go to a movie, spend a day. The hotel staff were friendly and... More

My boyfriend and I were in Portland for a weekend checking out wedding venues, visiting some friends, and celebrating my birthday. We had booked all of our hotel accommodations about a month and a half in advance. We were very excited when we pulled up to the Camas and were glad we didn't have to drop $200 for a nice... More

I think the advice in the headline is very good. We, naturally, regret any problems. Traveling can be very frustrating, especially when mistakes occur, and they often do, in spite of everyone's best efforts. I was once stranded in Hong Kong because I had my flight out because I misunderstood 2am to mean 2pm the same day ! So it... More
