Everything about the Inn at Barnum Point was a pleasant surprise — from the starry sky on the grounds, the birdwatching from the deck, the super comfy bed, to the spunky 82-year-old innkeeper who was hopping up and down the stairs with our crab and eggs breakfast. Carolin's home isn't a modern hotel, so if you want sleek and sexy,... More

My husband and I arrived very late and Carolyn greeted us and showed us our room which was an oasis of comfort. We woke up to rain and wind but the view was still fantastic and our room was called the Eagle room and we saw an eagle fly by. We stayed only one night but it was a night... More

Caroline is a kind and warm host, and the facility was just as we expected: Not a luxury hotel or even historic structure with vintage appeal, but a comfy room with a beautiful view, steps from the shore and quiet enough to hear the tide coming in at night. Caroline made our breakfast in her own kitchen, and while not... More

The Inn at Barnum Point is a gem at the end of a private drive, on a peninsula overlooking the bay. Don't let the rustic landscaping or décor inside fool you..a.Carolin is a delightful hostess who takes the time and care to make sure you are completely comfortable. My boyfriend and I drove up without previously arranging anything and just... More

The Inn at Barnum Point is indeed, decorated with an eye to past decades, but is spotlessly clean and in a heavenly location. The innkeeper has no staff but manages to serve a delicious breakfast in a homey atmosphere that will remind guests more of Grandma's house than the Four Seasons, so if that's the level of atmosphere and service... My hubby and I came here on our "baby moon", we didn't know what to expect, we had the most amazing time! It was so amazing, where to begin. The property is spectacular. Orchard with a fire pit, eagles flying right out side your windows, A lovely private beach. We took a lovely swim, so don't forget your swimsuit. Now... More

Quite the experience here, in a ramshackle old establishment on a wind-swept and remote bluff. Untidy exterior appearance and equally uninspiring interior. The room's outdated and well-worn facilities were overlooked (somewhat) by the courtesy and helpfulness of our host. Breakfast was cluttered and uncomfortable. Stay here if you like a little adventure in your life.... it was the cheapest in... More

In town for family wedding, expecting some great food for breakfast. We were let down to find that we had to make our own with an electric skillet and few food supplies. Everything here is at least 20 years old and needs a remodel. Owner's dog was barking quite a bit in the night and early morning. Too much money... More

The high point was the view, otherwise not much here that we liked. NOT home made breakfast- Cook your own. with very little selection to cook with; No milk or cheese. Poor fruit....just overall very little, since we were basically on our own. No stovetop but an electric skillet. Dishwasher was already full with previous guests" dishes. Poor utensils, seemed... My wife and I have traveled a good bit and stayed at many bed and breakfasts, but this one is at the top of our list. Caroline is so warm and wonderful, and an excellent cook. The view from the rooms are all pretty awesome, overlooking the water at every turn. The location is great and not hard to find... More
