As a researcher who's spending the next few months researching about poverty and other matters in this state, allow me say that I have had an enjoyable past week staying here. And intend to do so for a few more weeks. Why? Because as a researcher on a budget, I would be hard pressed to find another place which exhibits... More

Starts with the office....There is no one in it. After tracking down a person in a room (sketchy) I checked in.. had to squint while paying as lamp was wayyyyy too bright. But then.. The room was dim. smelled of the 60s. The bed sheets weren't clean (made them redo it) the comforter had stains of food on it. The... More

We stayed here for a week, it is basic, has everything you need. The room is dated, its like staying with an elderly aunt, in her back guest room. The walls were paper thin, which meant that when the neighbouring guest received news of a death in his family, we did too. We heard every word, as he spoke on... More

At check-in Jessica was really, really nice, great personality, I had chosen Anchor Inn as it's a quieter section of town and it overlooks The Bay, the pricing was better, too at $60 + tax. Room was clean, simple, it is an older property. In the morning I chatted with her outside while looking out at The Bay. A nice... More

The motel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Motel is newly remodeled and the rooms are comfortable. The location is also great and convenient- very close to the border.

When the reservation was made, the manager was told the arrival time would be 9pm. When we got there - there was no one in the office, no one answered the phone. Had to track them down at the other property, Northwood Motel. After giving a credit card, the manager charged hidden fees, making an advertised $49 room - $79.... More

there's 2 trains about 5AM and Sea Gull cries from on the roof at the same time to wake you. Wow, there was a clock in the room. apparently this place was in really bad shape 2 years ago and now???. There's no ice machine anywhere, no room service we saw at all but you see the new owner, who bought... More

Room was adequate, but at $70 per night, I expected better. There are other hotels in town that I have stayed in for $40 and better maintained. Staff were helpful and stay was uneventful. Hotel is a bit of a walk from the bars and restaurants.
