First of all, the front desk told me you can save a lot more by booking directly through them instead of Orbitz. We stayed here for a few days prior to going to Canada. We came back to stay at the Val U Inn because we were impressed with it and wanted to hit Mt. Baker for more boarding. There... More

For the price $71 compared with holiday inn etc $110 this was a good hotel. It was small and basic but clean. Complimentary coffee in reception and continental breakfast the next day. I couldn't stay for more than one night but it was adequate for what I needed. The website has this place down for 3 stars but I would... More

Outstanding choice for a value accommodation. The rooms have recently been remodeled and are very attractive. Each room has a refrig, microwave, coffee service, etc. and very comfortable beds. The rooms are small, but have everything. The continental breakfast in the morning is excellent. With an Entertainment Card the room is only $47 for a couple.

I selected this motel simply as an overnight stay for a flight from Bellingham Airport the next morning. The hotel was nice, room very clean and modern, bed quite comfortable and the location very convenient. I took the advice of another reviewer and requested a room away from the interstate. The breakfast included a nice selection of items that was... More

Dropped into Bellingham from I-5 and started to find a wireless place to search for a room. Got to the Creamery in town and our server, Mark gave us some recommendations. When he said Value Inn I was thinking "right". Anyway we went by and from the outside I never would have stopped. But, went in and ask to see... More

The Val-U Inn was a no-nonsense, no-frills motel with all of the amenities you'd expect. The location is great; right in the middle of Bellingham, so you have easy access to the university or the north end of town. The front desk was very polite. If you needed more towels or anything else for your room, you could walk right... More

We stayed at the Val U Inn on a recent trip with our teenaged daughter. The rooms were very clean, the beds were super comfy, and the added small fridge, microwave, and tons of storage space was great. The complimentary breakfast included was yummy and very satisfying-hard-boiled eggs, make-your-own Belgian waffles, three kinds of juice, hot chocolate, coffee, danishes, bagels,... More

We had several rooms reserved for our wedding party. Everyone was very pleased with the accommodations. We stayed in the apartment for 9 days. We had some people arriving and departing on the shuttle to/from Seattle. We could watch from the apt. It was a large suite, with a full kitchen. Since it was a meeting place several times for... For my stay, I was promised a pickup from the train station whereas all they did when I phoned was send a taxi cab and I paid for it myself. Then it was another quite expensive taxi cab ride to the ferry terminal when I left. Should have tried for somewhere closer, although I think the options were limited. The... More

Location is easy to find, right off the freeway. The room was clean and the breakfast was good as well, (I like making my own waffles). The pastries were amazingly fresh but lack of milk and cereal was kinda a let down. The hallways are not temperature controlled and were muggy, even at night and morning, (room was okay once... More
