Rated an "average" because there was not a "good" rating and could not really stretch the review to be "very good" unless I reviewed the room only. The drive to up to the hotel is very inviting and the location is beautiful. Our first impression of the service was not positive as we had to unload our own bags and... More

Hi, Thank you for your review and the kind words regarding our hotel. I am happy you were able to enjoy yourself in our spa and restaurant and appreciate your feedback regarding the trains. We do have rooms available on both the north and south sides of the hotel and some guests find these rooms quieter. We are always happy... More

If you plan on sleeping this is not the place for you. I though t it was odd that they provided ear plugs but soon found out why. The hotel itself is beautiful. Our room was beautiful. They nickel and dime you for everything ! Really , a tub like that and they can provide a bubble bath pod. I... More

We booked the "Getaway by the bay" package. It was wonderful. We each got a 60 minute massage, plus I upgraded our room to have a Full View window. We sat in the window seat looing out at the bay, we had a cute little otter swimming around just under us. We also went to the eat at Kennan's on... More

A very special place to celebrate a friend's birthday! Great location right on the water, close to Fairhaven with wonderful shops and restaurants. Two huge luxurious beds with huge window seat and spa-like bathroom. Add in a Swedish massage that was relaxing and energizing at the same time and you have it all.

Second time we have stayed, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Wonderful view and Oceanside walk, delicious and varied menu in the dining room, very relaxing spa and very friendly staff make this a place to be revisited often. And yes, the train runs right by under the dining room windows, but not that often and it adds to the experience!... More

We have stayed here at least once a year for past few years and continue to enjoy this quality establishment. Yes you pay a bit more but for us the location and high end decor make it worth it. The views are fabulous and overall the Inn provides a very comfortable atmosphere. I see that there is complaint about the... More

We stayed in a bay view room on the first floor of the hotel, just off the lobby (room 102). The hotel has a beautiful location; set back from the main road and right on the water and you can just roll out the door to the South Bay Trail right in front. Our room was lovely and spacious; a... More

Lovely setting. Room clean and spacious. Bay view pleasing. Grounds well kept. But $200 to $300 a night is much too much for what one gets for a room. Staff can be a little self-centered. Train rolls by on regular schedule. Pricey restaurant on site;not all items on menu were available. Server was pleasant.
