While I happened to be at this hotel due to business in the area, I would definitely say that this is a truly romantic hotel on the bay. I had a room on the third floor with an absolutely gorgeous view of the bay. Sunsets are absolutely amazing and something that you would want to share with that someone special.... More

Ask for a full bay view, plan on spending some time here looking at the view of the bay, lounging at the bayside restaurant, or walking the boardwalk. Clean, spacious, beautifully furnished-and a soaking tub. If we had known how nice it was, we would have planned to stay longer. Yes, there are trains at night, I think they stopped... More

The wife and I stopped by for lunch on a beautiful July day. We decided to get a table on the veranda and happily they had overhead heaters since the temperature was on the cool side. The wife had the special soup and salad of the day and loved it. I had the fish and chips with the cold slaw... More

The room was lovely and big with great view of the sound. However the train tracks and trains go by often during the early morning hours. The resturant and bar are very good with great outdoor seating.

From the moment I walked in and smelled the lavender exhaling from the spa next to the check-in desk, I knew I would love this hotel. I have stayed several times, typically several times a year visiting my son who attends WWU. The rooms have lovely bay views, cozy window benches for reading, fireplaces and well appointed bathrooms and oversized... More

First time I have ever stayed at a hotel in my hometown, but we received a gift certificate and decided to spend the night as dinner looked a little too trendy. Thought the fourth would be fun as it is a quick walk down the dock to watch the fireworks. Everything was great until it was time to sleep. It... More

The Chrysalis inn and spa has lovely rooms, soaking tubs, views of the water, a gas fireplace (wish it was wood fired) and a very nice happy hour in the restaurant/deck. This is our 2nd stay here and it has been very enjoyable both times. We were upgraded to a king room water view which was just lovely. Be sure... More

What an amazing spot. Chrysalis is beautiful. The room we had was gorgeous, the hotel itself is lovely, and the setting is amazing. Our room looked directly out on the bay and the view is stunning. We checked in at 4PM on Friday and immediately went out on the patio for a drink. The sun was shining and the patio... More

Now my favourite Fairhaven hotel. Fantastically comfortable rooms decorated tastefully. Bathrooms to die for. Huge tub with opening screen so that partner can share with you from a distance (or not if you are convervationists!). There are pet friendly rooms. Lovely window seat looking outside. Nice touches, like throws to wrap around oneself. This was December time, so an appreciated... More

My husband and I stayed two nights in May 2014 for a close to home get away. We live in Langley BC, we'd wanted to re-visit the beautiful, wonderfully staffed Chrysalis Inn and Spa. We wandered around the little town of Fairhaven, enjoyed the sea air and the views. Our room was a King Suite, the same one we had... More
