We have stayed at the Chrysalis several times before...we like to stay two nights as that gives us time to wander around Trader Joes and take in one new area of town for each visit. I asked my husband why he likes to stay at the Crysalis and here is his and my thoughts: The hotel is clean, efficient, nice... More

My husband bought a car online this spring. We had wanted to have it shipped, but that proved to be a daunting task. I suggested to my husband that he fly out and get the car and drive it home. He wanted me to come along and we'd take our time driving back. I agreed and we booked our flights... More

This Inn is delightful in so many ways. Tastefully designed and decorated; polite reception; very clean; thoughtful amenities; secure parking and a wonderful location with an easy trail walk to the shops and restaurants in Old Fairhaven. There is also a trail walk all the way to downtown Bellingham but you can take a City bus for an easy return... More

The only part of my stay that I would recommend is the food at the restaurant. Way over priced rooms for what you get. Room was equal to a $80 a night hotel. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone ever and would never stay there again.

We drove up from Seattle for a 'get-away' weekend and were not disappointed. Upon check-in, the gentleman behind the desk gave us parking instructions before we could think to ask which was helpful as the garage is not immediately obvious. The room was large and comfortable with a 'side' view that was okay, although most of our water-gazing was done... More

We just enjoyed a one night stay at the Chrysalis Inn and Spa. The deluxe King room with gas fireplace was very nice and had a spa like bathroom with a soaker tub and separate shower. The bed was extremely comfortable with a nice cozy comforter. We had the direct water view room overlooking Bellingham Bay which was enjoyed while... More

I was here for a conference but I felt like I was on vacation! Lovely view of the water and sailboats outside of my window. It was raining but the overstuffed chair next to a fireplace in the room made it totally enjoyable. The chef, Michael Christensen (hope I spelled that right), was really outstanding! I'm allergic to dairy and... More

We just returned from a three day stay attending the Washington Bed & Breakfast Guild Annual Meeting & Conference. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and check- in was quickly taken care of. Our room located on the second floor, overlooked the water with a nice cushioned window seat where you curl up on, read a book and... More

One of the more beautiful boutique hotels I've stayed at. But currently, as I type this at 12:12AM and I emphasize AM as in MIDNIGHT, I can hear in the distance the fourth as in FOURTH train approaching in the last 50 minutes, whilst blowing their EXTREMELY LOUD horns, presumably in order to warn the hotel guests to wake up... My wife and I have been regular guests for nearly ten years. We have found it to be the perfect break for a trip from Portland to Vancouver BC. The rooms are expertly appointed and each features a gas fireplace. Great for relaxing in the window seat looking out at Bellingham Bay. Large wood beams and a splendid hospitality area... More
