Looking for a serene retreat featuring super-chill surroundings, superb food and wine, and stunning waterfront views? Check yourself into Chrysalis Inn & Spa in quaint Fairhaven, Bellingham's 'Old Town.' Linger deck-side overlooking a beckoning boardwalk, pamper yourself in the spa...or just lounge...it's all good. Easy 1 1/2 hr. from Seattle, or a quick hop over the border from Vancouver.

We enjoyed staying here. The rooms were beautiful. Loved the view, the fireplace and the window seats were the best. One of the best rooms we have stayed in. The breakfast was great and very tasty, The servers were pleasant. The homemade granola and fruit plate was the best. I The hotel is a close walk to Fairhaven which has... More

We have stayed here a number of times and occasionally have never even left the room. Lovely views, clean, well kept rooms, near beautiful walk along the water. The spa is very nice with great service. Some people may be bothered by the train that runs nearby but not a problem for us. Preferred the prior European-style restaurant but the... More

This inn is not cheap, but it is close to nice walkway along the coast leading to bellingham (about 2 mi) and very close to the downtown Fairview, historic place. There is spa associated with the place, but since every room has 2 people soaking tub, I didn't feel the need to pay more for spa services. This place can... More

So, first off, we too, fell victim to the train on the first night. Closed windows and ear plugs solved that issue for the remainder of our stay. It was very beautiful, the location was excellent, the restaurant/ bar was just okay. I'm a steak and potatoes girl and it was a little too fancy for my taste. The location... More

Excellent rooms, spa, restaurant...but noisy. It's located just above a major N-S RR line. Funny, there were earplugs in the room on each bedside table. We soon found out why. The trains are loud & frequent. Fine dining room too.

Is important to upgrade to a luxury suite on the water front, as the sunsets are spectacular. The restaurant/ bar, which has seating inside and out provides beautiful views across the water, as well as, remarkably good cuisine. Best hollandaise sauce and scallops perfect.

We celebrated our anniversary at this lovely inn that was built in 2001. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well appointed. We were fortunate to have a side view room on the top floor which had a nice view of the bay. However we quickly realized that there is a very busy railroad line that runs... More

We just got to stay here for the first time, though we'd had several great meals at Keenan's on the Pier in previous months. We treated ourselves to a corner suite overlooking the bay. It was beautiful, everything to a very high standard. The bathroom was particularly spectacular! The bedroom was lovely with a comfortable bed. We had the windows... More

I visited Bellingham for the first time last week. My relative told me I should stay at the Chrysalis because she loved it. She knows I love a great view. Boy, was she right. We were on the second floor and our room looked onto the bay and the pier. That, plus the stunning weather last weekend in WA made... More
