Beautiful Hotel overlooking Bellingham Bay. It was so nice to wake up to a beautiful view of the bay with sailboats and kyaks on the water. My wife really loved the window seat. The room was spacious, the bed ultra comfortable and the bath very classy. We didn't take advantage of the spa services on site but talked to other... More

This is one of my favorite smaller hotels in the state. the views, room and charm of the Chrysalis make it a great weekend getaway. The spa is well equipped and getting a pedicure in the room overlooking the stream makes it a peaceful escape. The staff has always been friendly and super accommodating with questions. I've never had issues... More

So many titles were considered for this, but I figured a bit of direct advice might save some of the potential visitors from a painful and disappointing experience. Short version- LOUD trains. Lack of privacy for first two floor rooms. Loud lobby area. Lack of disclosure from management before booking. Great views. Good sized and well appointed rooms. DO NOT... More

We stayed here for three days on our move up to alaska. Our room was huge with plenty of room for us and our children. My kids particularly loved the bed in the window that overlooked the boardwalk. So beautiful! We heard the train, but it wasn't bothersome. Our room was huge and clean, fresh towels and bath robes. No... More

I was in a room located on the side of the bldg. on the first floor. The room was comfortable with an above average bathroom. The fireplace and window seat were nice amenities. Restaurant was nice with serene views onto the water and looks towards the San Juan Islands. Food service was slow on the first visit but improved on... More

We stayed here one night and enjoyed the double tub and nice king size bed. We had a full water view. Room comes with earplugs since the train tracts are right below the hotel. We ate a yummy breakfast in the restaurant but a bit expensive. You can easily walk to Fairhaven or walk the Taylor street dock into Boulevard... More

This hotel is well-appointed for a modern look. I have to say the former managers were better from a few years back. The staff just isn't there anymore. I miss the old Maître d' in the restaurant they used to have and now it's just a high scale bar food menu. You can get that type of food most good... More

Located a few blocks from the centre of Old Fairhaven, the Chrysalis offers a modern boutique hotel feel. The rooms are spacious and all have fireplaces, window seats and large bathrooms with large soaker tubs and separate showers. The rooms on the front look directly out over Bellingham Bay while those on the sides offer views north to Bellingham or... More

Beautifully designed, thoughtfully managed and in a great location on the edge of picturesque Fairhaven with it's turn-of-the-century buildings, coffee houses, book stores and restaurants. Everything about our stay was pretty close to perfect, however I personally found the train noise from tracks located just below the hotel disconcerting.
