My husband and I were in Bellingham to watch our son's baseball tournament. We had spotted this hotel when we were there last year and thought it looked like a good place to stay. We were not disappointed. We had a king suite and the room was really nice and had a fabulous view of the bay. We love being... more

We discovered this hotel about 4 years ago after a very disappointing stay at another hotel in the area (The Chrysalis). That stay had been marred by the trains that run along the coast. After two nights of having trains 'rumbling through the bedroom' each night, we left the hotel and did some exploring as we made our way north... more

We arrived in town without reservations and on the suggestion of friends, drove to the Hotel Bellwether. It was the week before the Thanksgiving holiday so the hotel was almost empty. We were given a plaza view room on the 3rd floor which had a great view of Bellingham Bay and the city so we'd recommend saving the extra $30... more

We found this hotel to be an exceptional experience. Cosy, comfortable king size bed, beautiful soft linens and pillows, a perfect setting, friendly staff, and peaceful waterviews. All in all, the Hotel Bellwether was much more that we expected. We will definitely stay there again and, in fact, are planning another visit next month. more

Fantastic setting and a great view from the third floor, and while the rooms are luxuriously appointed with a fireplace, balcony, wet bar, quality bed and linens, and a large bathroom with separate jetted tub and glassed-in shower, the furnishings are beginning to show signs of age, wear and tear and the shower tiles in our room showed and smelled... more

We have stayed at the Bellwether a few times now and each time have been extremely satisfied. The beds are wonderful. Gas fireplace and jetted tub definitely a plus!! The setting on the water is perfect. You can walk along the waterfront or just enjoy the view from your room. Hotel management has been friendly and professional and restaurant service... more

Booked two months in advance for family reunion. Detailed description of spacious one bedroom suite with king and comfortable pull out. Upon arrival, no on helped with bags, poor directions to parking, ended up in building next door. When we finally got to the room, carpet was stained, windows filthy, old food wrappers on floor, dog kibbles under bed, table... more

We stayed two nights at this hotel in July, 2006. The feature that attracted us was that it is a totally non-smoking hotel. And they are strict about the non-smoking rule, which was fine with us. When we arrived we discovered that the parking is secure underground, always a comfort to us. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were... more
