Bellingham is halfway between gritty and gentrified, but when the weather is fine in the Pacific Northwest, there is no better place to be. Traveling on business, with a meeting downtown, it was a natural choice. It sits out on the end of pier with magnificient views of the harbor and the mountains beyond. My room had a great view... Very clean and great service. Beds are super comfortable. Balconies offer a lovely morning view. The trail around the hotel is the best part – nothing like taking in the sail boats as they pass by. The lighthouse in front of the hotel adds a lot of character.

This is our favorite "go to" hotel for short, peaceful get-aways. The front desk was very helpful as always and our room was clean and comfortable. We always get a bay view as it is so calming and relaxing. The top floor gives the best views. This time we were a bit disappointed as the restaurant was closed for dinner... More

This hotel is in a lovely waterfront location and has many things to recommend it. I would stay there again, but I do think there are a few glitches to work out, particularly given the upscale pricing. The gym is tiny (3 cardio machines, some free weights, and that's it, in a room half the size of a bedroom). Also,... More

If you have never been to Washington State, you have to see it! And, the Hotel Bellwether is a beautiful hotel right on the water. Great accommodations and food with a friendly staff. While visiting, taking the whale watching cruise to Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands.

What a beautiful room! We had a room on the third floor overlooking the bay and a nice patio to sit on while we watched the small boats come in and out of the harbor. The staff was so helpful with places to eat for great fish, places to go during our stay (and how to get there), they even... More

With the exception of a small glitch at check-in, our stay at the Hotel Bellwether was lovely. The room was an executive water room looking over the bay. The room was gorgeous and well-stocked with both freebies and items for purchase (at reasonable prices). The staff was terrific - polite, friendly, and very helpful in answering our questions. The dining... More

We had a wonderful stay and everyone was very helpful. We were there for a friends wedding and it was beautiful. Our room was on the third floor above the outdoor patio, looking over the marina. Highly recommend!
